Every time I go to edit a manuscript, there are certain articles I always bring up. One of them is this, from over at Write it Sideways:

If you don’t know what filter words are and have been leaving them in, this article is a gamechanger. Seriously, I go through every manuscript with a fine tooth comb for them now and it’s made my writing so much better for it.

I split my time writing and working my day job as a massage therapist. If it’s a creative pursuit though, chances are I’ve dabbled in it.
