What I’m editing/marketing: Got final edits done on Scrying for Summer! Continuing to edit Night Awakens! Got second round of edits in for Tale of Two Airships (one to go), and continuing to edit Captivating Melody! My editing plate overfloweth

Alanna let out a sigh. “You’ll be with us as well. The second you step out of line though, I won’t hesitate to shoot you.”

“Why wouldn’t you just cast a spell?” Dante asked, brows furrowing.

“You’re not worth the energy,” she responded coolly.

Weekly Word Count #59

Word Count: 6,308

What story I’m working on: Rising for Autumn, book three of the Philadelphia Coven Chronicles! (Finally picking up a bit of speed!)

What I’m editing/marketing: Editing Night Awakens and Captivating Melody (even though I was supposed to wait on all my beta-reader responses, I couldn’t wait!) As for marketing, I’m pushing full steam ahead with Scrying for Summer which comes out super soon!

Line of the week:

The closer she trudged down the path, the more familiar those tombstones became, glaring at her for trespassing on the forbidden ground. Even closer, the phantom scent of cloying incense invaded her senses, the same way it had that day as the priest shook in back and forth.

What I’m editing/marketing: Night Awakens, but mostly A Tale of Two Airships, because I got my first round of edits in!

“One down,” Sam announced himself before she whirled around to check. “Looks like you found more beasties to play with?”

“What can I say?” she lifted the sachet and prepared to throw. “Monsters just love me.”

Weekly Word Count #57

Word Count: 3,208

What story I’m working on: Rising for Autumn (Another slower week due to intense editing sessions, however, this story is picking up steam!)

What I’m editing/marketing: Night Awakens! Like a boss. I’ve been rolling through this one with a speed that surprised me. I honestly didn’t think I’d be done this til September, but I may step it up to end of July or August!

Line of the week:

How damaged and isolated had she become that a couple personal questions set her on edge? Her throat tightened. Maybe that’s the twisted path Bran had tumbled down last year. She’d sworn she wouldn’t end up like her little brother, but loneliness didn’t arrive with flashing bulbs and a warning label. It was as simple and complex as a faked smile, white lies about being ‘okay,’ and the nod and acceptance as her own peers didn’t delve deeper, shutting the coffin lid for her.

What I’m editing/marketing: Rocking out the Night Awakens edits. Making really good progress with the and I’m quite happy on that front! As for marketing, the prep for Scrying for Summer’s release is in the works!!! YAY!!!! Only a month away!
