Hunting for Spring Recap

Silly recap: Conor likes puppies despite his dad’s training that Hunters Are Assholes. Brenna’s used to assholes like his dad, not puppy-lovers like Conor. Except Asshole Hunters also Hate Fae. Brenna’s a fae, btw. So Conor and Brenna team up to piss off his dad against the murderer they’ve both been tracking. They make heart eyes at each other, and Conor’s dad rages=epic win. Jev also appears and steals everyone’s hearts due to awesomeness.

Pre-Order Waking for Winter!

Book 4 of the Philadelphia Coven Chronicles is now available for PRE-ORDER!

KM_WakingforWinter

The Philadelphia Coven has thwarted the Order of the Serpent’s every attempt to destroy their city, only to draw out the scariest nightmare from the Otherworld–the Caoranach. However, one member of the Philly Coven, Cami Akiyama, has already met this creature–the very monster who tortured her and branded her with a mark. Given their history, the Coven leader assigns her a bodyguard–none other than the gorgeous and lethal necromancer, Dante Martinez, the ex-boyfriend she’d disappeared on years ago. A single conversation confirms the spark between them never died, and based on the way Dante teases and flirts, he’s not about to let that flame get snuffed out without a fight.

No one has ever compared to the incendiary passion Dante inspired in her, but after being marked and broken by a monster, she’s too damaged to rekindle any sort of relationship. Not like that stops him. If anything, he fights harder for the memories of a love that kept her sane on her bleakest nights. And despite every effort to distance, Cami finds herself falling for him all over again. Except the Caoranach doesn’t just plan to devastate this city. The Caoranach possesses a deadly secret; one, when revealed, holds the power to shatter Cami completely.

What story I’m working on: Guys, I’m not the worst! I put a serious dent into Forged Decisions, making my way to 13k! Things started falling into place with me for that story, which is giving me the fortitude to keep moving forward. I also started playing around with a new project, one that will be amazingly interesting, mostly because I’ve never done something like it before. I got 600 words into this story, but I’m going to take my time and really develop the worldbuilding first before throwing myself into it.

What I’m editing/marketing: Welp, beginning of the week I finished editing Outlier Heir, my YA space opera, so now comes the draining, oft horrifying submissions stage! And already, Waking for Winter is coming out next week. EEK. Final Coven Chronicles book release–makes my lil heart twist!

Teaser of the week:

Line of the week:

Navi glanced down to her bare thighs, noticing for the first time that she was wearing his shirt and he currently had those fantastic pecs on full display. With the anger cleared from her headspace at the moment, the lust returned in full force, the close proximity only fueling her fire. “Don’t suppose you’ve got a back entrance to those spares? It’d be a discredit to my surly Tribe image if I’m walking through the place in your shirt.”

A different scent tingled her nose, the strong note of his arousal that made her want to moan on the spot. She didn’t need to glance over to those gym shorts to notice the erection he was packing. Her panther wasn’t resisting the wolfish scent of him either, instead, the bitch was preening inside her chest. Not helping her ignore the tangled web of emotions that she’d rather leave for a rainy day, or never.

“Fiesty thing like you? No one would dare make a comment. Even if my shirt might as well be a dress on you,” he teased, his hazel eyes sparking with amusement.

Navi cracked her knuckles. “You’re playing with fire, babe.”

Philly Fun in Waking for Winter!

With my latest novel and the final book in the Philadelphia Coven Chronicles series coming out next week, I wanted to chat a little bit about what hijinks the crew gets up to this time!

Throughout the series, we’ve covered Fairmount Park like…a bunch. We’ve also visited the Magic Gardens on South Street, hit the goth/industrial club, Chinatown, Mount Moriah Cemetery, and the Laurel Hill Cemetery. And Waking for Winter isn’t about to disappoint with more Philly exploration. On top of roaming through more of these city streets, one of my favorite scenes in the book takes place at the Wells Fargo center amidst an ice hockey game with our home team. (The Flyers, for those who don’t know. Even folks like me who aren’t as into the sportsball are quite aware of the Philly teams.)

The Coven Chronicles series dives into the heart of this city, albeit an alternate version infected with monsters, and I hope you guys can see the uniqueness on every page.

Join the fun in Waking for Winter!

What story I’m working on: I know, I know, I have failed this city, rounding out the week with 7k on Forged Decisions. I did so much editing this week that there wasn’t much time for anything else. On top of that I’ve been a little aimless. I definitely need a new project to sink my teeth into and get the juices flowing so that I can keep on keeping on with Forged Decisions and The Airship Also Rises.

What I’m editing/marketing: EDITING LIKE A BOSS. SERIOUSLY. I’m in the final round of edits for Outlier Heir, my YA space opera, so woot!! Plus, fiddling around with marketing like a boss, since Waking for Winter’s release is going to come before I’m ready, lol.

Teaser of the week:

Alanna Carrington, head witch of the Philadelphia Coven, hurtled his way, and with her, trouble was a guarantee.

Line of the week:

“What if the owner’s a guy?” Finn teased. “Are you saying you want to flirt with him too?”

“Guy, girl, stick—I don’t care who you flirt with,” she responded. “Just get a pulse on who’s running the operation through their storefront.”

“I feel so used.” Finn smirked as he pulled in front of the general store, cleverly titled just that.
