What story I’m currently working on: I hit 50k with Airship, but the binge session on Monday left me needing a bit of a break before I keep pushing with that book. I’ve got about 25-30k left to write and I’m going to get back to it next week, with a goal of finishing it by the end of the December! Plus, I’ll be getting to work on Forged Contracts whenever I want! After two back to back months of pushing 50k out each, I’m stoked to kinda scale back to nice and easy. (Until I get all into the end of Airship and end up binge writing that :P)

What I’m editing/marketing: If you haven’t listened to the audio book for An Airship Named Desire, get on it! A Tale of Two Airships is under consideration via ACX, and it will be out within the next couple weeks! In the next couple weeks I’ll probably start on my Musketeer Pirates critiques, since my two betas got back to me on it! As for Forged Decisions, I’m still waiting to hear from my editor, and for Of Tinkers and Technomancers as well as A Reflection of Ice, I’m awaiting my first set of edits!

Line of the week:

Viola approached, her gaze fixed on the horizon. “What’s to bet the tackiest building in the neighborhood belongs to that cur?”

“Not everyone can fancify a joint like you, darling,” I drawled before skipping a pace or two ahead to try and get a better view. “The rest of us are slapping twigs together with glue.”

Geoff slung an arm around my shoulders, drawing me in tight. “And where the hell are you getting glue aboard our ship? You know Edwin doesn’t share supplies.”

What story I’m currently working on: Had a bit of a slowdown this week due to a busy last weekend plus a migraine that wouldn’t quit, but I’m still keeping up with the turtle version of NaNoWrimo, and I reached 37k today! To be fair, it’s Thanksgiving, so I’m going to grant myself that. I also did a little more with Forged Contracts, but ever since PAX Unplugged, I’ve had some other hobbies stealing my attention. Airship is unfolding at a good pace though, and I have a good idea of where the rest of the book will go!

What I’m editing/marketing: If you haven’t listened to the audio book for An Airship Named Desire, I recommend getting your time in now! A Tale of Two Airships will probably be out before the end of the year! Waiting on word from my editor for Forged Decisions, so cross your fingers and toes for me! My betas are continuing to progress through Musketeer Pirates and offering all of the critiques! Can’t wait to get cracking on those edits!

Teaser of the week:

“Because it took a stubborn technomancer willing to risk everything for those she cared about to remind me I was capable of a little daring too.”

Line of the week:

“So we’re assistants of Gregor Browning?” Isabella slipped an arm around Edwin’s shoulders, near causing the man to leap mid-air. “What is his specialty again?”

“Aether-thermodynamic thingamabob,” I jumped in, all of those fancy words of Edwin’s flying right out of my brain.

“Aetherdynamic manipulation,” Edwin said with a huff. He adjusted his glasses. “Really, Bea, I thought you were listening last night.”

I shrugged. “Maybe I’m just keeping you on your toes.”

What story I’m currently working on: Still going with the slow and steadies on The Airship Also Rises for NaNoWriMo, and it’s looking like I’ll reach my goal of 50k into this book by the end of the month! At 28k, I’m fairly certain I can hit 30k in a day or two and I’ll keep moving forward. Howwwweever, I succumbed to temptation and also did a little work on Forged Contracts, get 1k down on Raven and Jer’s story!! It’s gonna be an emotional ride!

What I’m editing/marketing: I just started making some teasers for Of Tinkers and Technomancers and A Reflection of Ice since my edits should be starting some time soon! I held to my promise and sent off Forged Decisions to my editor! Eeee!!! I’m also trucking ahead with listening to A Tale of Two Airships audio for revisions. Hopefully that comes out before the end of the year! As for Musketeer Pirates, my betas are midway through the boook 😀

Teaser of the week:

_That_s when loneliness seared the first molten tendrils into her heart._

Line of the week:

“Long time no see, Bea,” Claire said, her perfectly painted lips curled in one viper’s grin.

“Damn,” I muttered back. “I was honestly hoping someone had shot you by now. Karma better hurry up and get the job done properly.”

When Liv shows up at Cupid’s Café, she never expected to find Zane, her brother’s former best friend who had vanished one day and never returned. The sparks that surged when they were both teens rekindle stronger than ever, and all too fast, Liv and Zane entangle in each other’s lives, breaking their own rules. Except with both struggling with the demons from their past, the love that’s begun to grow is one lapse away from shattering the two of them beyond repair.

Some Airship Love!

bookpromo44

Currently, I’m working on the final Take to the Skies book, The Airship Also Rises, but I’m also working on going through the files for A Tale of Two Airships! The first book, An Airship Named Desire is already available in audio book, and it’s SO GOOD, guys. It’s inspirational to spend all of this time in the universe while I’m writing the final book, so I can really honor the whole cycle, from beginning to end as I prepare to close out this series.

The hope is to finish writing The Airship Also Rises by December/January, so I can get edits jamming for this book. The plan is for it to come out August 17th, 2018!

Take to the Skies is going to be one unforgettable trilogy, and I’m already getting all the feels while writing this ending.

What story I’m currently working on: The moral of this story is slow and steady wins the race. Rather than my normal binge efforts, I’ve been doing a steady pace of 1600 words a day since NaNo began, and it shows. I just hit 15k with The Airship Also Rises, and I’m moving forward at a steady speed, though I might have a couple rocky days ahead with general busy-ness. Omg guys. Writing Bea and the crew is just…my heart. The snark flies off the page. I could sit there and just write them arguing for 100 pages and be perfectly content.

What I’m editing/marketing: Since Captured Memories came out last month, I’ve got a wee break before Of Tinkers and Technomancers and A Reflection of Ice release! In the interim, I’m going to pound through Forged Decisions and get it sent in to my editor. By the time I report in next week, the book will be off! That’s a promise! (I’m really close) And my beta readers have started ripping apart Musketeer Pirates, so it’s perfect timing. Once I’m done with Forged Decisions, that also means I can start writing book three in the Tribal Spirits series, Forged Contracts.

Teaser of the week:

Wistful notes spoke of loneliness, as solitary as the final birdsong of autumn or the trill of summer_s last cicada before the wintry freeze.

Line of the week:

“You’re making a mistake,” said hapless bastard finally spoke up, his voice reedy and thin with fear. “If you try and turn me in, you’ll be making an enemy of the British crown.”

I couldn’t help it. I burst out laughing.

Every eye in the silent room stopped and stared at me as the laughs ripped from my throat, the deep, aching sort that welled up from the depths of my chest. Mordecai nudged the man forward down the aisle, closer and closer to Blackwind, entertaining a rueful grin of his own. Even Isabella let out a snort, a smile on her lips.

Out of anyone he could’ve threatened me with, the redcoats were the last on my list of concerns. They’d already taken our number the day we stole that Gods-damned box.

My shoulders still quaked as I wiped a couple tears from my eyes. “That ship’s already sailed, boy-o, but good of you for the heads up.”
