Title: City of Light and Steam

Author: Lexi Ostrow

Twelve years ago the Great Guilds put aside their rivalry and attempts for world control when a plague turned the sick into blood-thirsty beasts. Steam and Electricity no longer rivaled for world domination but collaborated on tools to save their world. That ended when betrayal struck both Guilds, leaving them to fight the war separately.
Raven Nightingale was thrust into leadership of the Steam Guild when a ruthless vampire attack left her father and elder brothers dead. When approached to turn to the leader of the Electric Guild, Christopher Abbott, for help, she knew she had no choice. On her way, she was attacked and left for dead.
Benjamin was smitten by the beautiful woman he found lying in the street just outside the guild mere suffering from the same fate as his cousin, the now-dead leader of the Electric Guild. Posing as his cousin Christopher to hide his guild’s secret, he wooed her as best as he could, lying his way through things. Their growing feelings helped them to put aside differences and create great marvels; until she learns the truth and terminates the alliance.
As the sick known as vampires announced their claim to London, Raven and Benjamin would have to unite the guilds once more, or allow their city to fall. Their feelings must come second in the race to save London, but the lies of the past may destroy their future.

I split my time writing and working my day job as a massage therapist. If it’s a creative pursuit though, chances are I’ve dabbled in it. Hell, I’ve played around with soapmaking, beer brewing, cupcake baking, tea blending and everything else under the midday sun. At the end of the day, my constant is always reading, writing and editing. I’m an Aries-Taurus cusp–which to any astrology buffs should tell you plenty. I hit the East Coast convention circuit pretty hard and chances are, you can find me vending for Solstice Brews while simultaneously promoting my books.
