What story I’m currently working on:
I’m continuing to rock forward with Forged Contracts, and while I hit 37k as of now, I’m hoping to hit 40k by the end of the week. The goal is to finish the book by the end of August and I’m so very excited. I’ve already started contemplating more on the final two books, so I’m fairly certain they’re going to high on the agenda after. Though, in the interim, I should probably lay down some chapters into Hypnotizing Beat to keep pushing forward. I have the feeling that once I get really going into that series I’ll be firing on all cylinders there too.
What I’m editing/marketing:
Well, first off, Legends of the Veil is LIVE! And The Airship Also Rises is up for pre-order! I’m so excited for it to come out! As far as edits go, I’ve put a massive dent into An Airship Carol, which will be heading to the editor’s by the end of the month. Once I finish that, I’ll push forward on Musketeer Pirates, because I need to continue to put work into that as well. (It’s so hard when I’m wrapped up in writing a new book, because it’s like candy and I love it)

Teaser of the week:
Line of the week:
Raven swallowed. Her heart squeezed so tight she couldn’t breathe. The truth lay brazen in the air, waiting to be grasped and devoured, and even still, she hesitated. The patterns she’d developed over the years were comfortable, the pain as much a part of her as the scars on her skin. Now she stood on the precipice where she might be able to push past that longing that sliced shards in her chest, and she felt crazy for questioning it.
“What are you, part shaman?” Raven joked, even as the truth settled across her skin, that Jer had shared the same longing, the same pain all these years.
Lana’s lips twisted in a knowing smirk. “Worse. Massage therapist.”
