What story I’m currently working on:

I slacked off with the Paranormal Western, only hitting 9k, but that’s okay, because I picked up steam with Of Alchemists and Arsonists, hitting 7k. I think this steampunk foray should be a blast, and it’ll feel nice to finish up a series, so I’m picking up speed with it given that in mind. Honestly, my two favorite things with series is both starting and ending them. I adore the initial spark of whimsy and inspiration that involves a first book in a series, and I also adore the finality of finishing up with one, being able to close out the series and feel content with its completion. I live for trilogies, because they’re such a tight structure, and the Whitfield Files has been fun thus far.

What I’m editing/marketing:

Currently, I’m waiting on beta feedback for Tempting Ballad so I can begin to crack into the edits for that. It’s going to feel great to send that off to submission in a month or two. Which also leaves room to begin the FINAL Discord’s Desire book as well. With all of these conclusions coming up, I’m hoping for some good news in the Outlaws or Dungeons and Dating front, as both series are going to be a massive amount of fun. I’m also currently working on polishing up an older manuscript which has been interesting, to say the least.

Line of the week:

“If you need a building set on fire, then I’m your girl,” Belle offered with a half-smile. Sitting across from him and enjoying a pint was the closest she’d been to anyone outside of Blair’s crew for years. External associations were frowned upon, and after the Ellie incident, he locked those doors even tighter.

“Given that I own a very flammable storefront, I’d much prefer you on my side than against it,” Nate murmured back, an amused grin on his lips. The man had no right to be as handsome as he was, and sitting this close to him, she caught a whiff of bergamot and vetiver that coursed through her with surprising intensity. The man’s proximity was addling her mind, especially after witnessing the kindness he’d shown to her yesterday.

Men like Nate Whitfield were rare.

Author:

I split my time writing and working my day job as a massage therapist. If it’s a creative pursuit though, chances are I’ve dabbled in it. Hell, I’ve played around with soapmaking, beer brewing, cupcake baking, tea blending and everything else under the midday sun. At the end of the day, my constant is always reading, writing and editing. I’m an Aries-Taurus cusp–which to any astrology buffs should tell you plenty. I hit the East Coast convention circuit pretty hard and chances are, you can find me vending for Solstice Brews while simultaneously promoting my books.
