What story I’m currently working on:

My pace ground to a halt, not because I haven’t been working on writing at all, but because I had to divert attention. Still, we’re getting into the final chapters before the big final part of the book, so I think I’ll get through it sooner rather than later. I know for a fact I’ll have it finished before the end of March, which is a good thing! Belle and Nate are just too precious. I’m at 23k in Of Alchemists and Arsonists, but hopefully I’ll push through soon 🙂

What I’m editing/marketing:

Because I rocked through the content edits for Tempting Ballad, I’m now down to the final three passes of my line edits for the book which are really time consuming. However, I’d like to stake the claim here and now that I’ll be done the edits and have the book ready for submission by the time I report in next week. I’ve been working really hard on it and focusing on trying to get it completed so I can have another book out there this year.

Line of the week:

Belle blinked, watching the back and forth. Despite the loud shouts across the table, she caught the hints of smiles on everyone’s faces. This family banded together amidst all their bickering, their care a current in the air. Envy plucked at her chest in an off-chord. While escape offered the chance to live for herself, traveling from town to town would be a lonely existence. If she’d been born in a different life with a different past, maybe she could’ve fought for something as warm and comforting as this.

I split my time writing and working my day job as a massage therapist. If it’s a creative pursuit though, chances are I’ve dabbled in it. Hell, I’ve played around with soapmaking, beer brewing, cupcake baking, tea blending and everything else under the midday sun. At the end of the day, my constant is always reading, writing and editing. I’m an Aries-Taurus cusp–which to any astrology buffs should tell you plenty. I hit the East Coast convention circuit pretty hard and chances are, you can find me vending for Solstice Brews while simultaneously promoting my books.
