What story I’m working on: Hit 17k with Future King–slowing down the pace to focus more on the shifter story which is also closing in on 17k since I have a deadline for that one!

What I’m editing/marketing: Continuing to plug away at Waking for Winter and prepping marketing for Rising for Autumn. I’m beyond excited for the release of book three!!

Line of the week:

Dax stalked into his room to put on something decent. Like it or not, Kanoska had agreed to work with him and he was going to hold her to her promise. Even if they had problems keeping their hands off each other and they happened to be mated for life. No biggie. He tugged on a shirt as he let out a long exhale. Hell—he hadn’t stayed in a relationship longer than six months and in stomped a woman he barely knew with lifetime potential stamped all over that perfect ass.

What story I’m working on: Slow but steady with Future King and my summer Shifter story!

What I’m editing/marketing: Chasing Fate is what I’m primarily editing, though I’m also going through the audio files for the Snatched audio book to mark edits for the narrator. Hoping to have it released before the end of the year!

Line of the week:

Sierra controlled herself, just barely, as she forced her claws back into place. Out of everyone, she had to rein in the leash on her beast, because as alpha, she set the example for her pack. “You’d figure with so many pups under one roof, a kitty cat wouldn’t be stupid enough to wander in.”

“Oh you know, curiosity and all that,” he flashed her a grin, white teeth gleaming against his tanned skin. “You folks give the warmest welcomes to newcomers.” He tugged on the end of his baseball cap before crossing through the crowded bar without a care. The cocky bastard ignored the bristling wolves on either side begging to leap forward, each lethal in their own right—either he had brass balls or lost his common sense a couple states back. More than a couple members of her pack glanced her way, waiting permission to lunge for the bastard and take him down.

“Well, when we get love notes as charged as yours, tends to inspire passionate responses.” Sierra forced a grin, baring her teeth in the process.

What story I’m working on: Waking for Winter is FINISHED as of this week! Already sent it out to the betas, and will be plugging away at edits as soon as it returns. Aaaaand I’ve begun my Arthurian space opera series, the Future King!

What I’m editing/marketing: Chasing Fate still! Have most of my beta feedback in, so now it’s just applying it to the text!

Line of the week:

Every year on this date, the rains hit so hard I thought they’d sweep me away. When I was younger and dumber, I thought the heavens were weeping with me and dad, joining us on our yearly trek to the cemetery. But the older I got, the more I knew better—that I had the worst luck on Mars, and it dipped a little lower with each passing year.

What story I’m working on: Waking for Winter (Yeah, yeah, progress is slow going, but I’m making a major dent in Captivating Melody edits!)

What I’m editing/marketing: Captivating Melody like a boss! And I’ve been submitting the crap out of Night Awakens too.

Line of the week:

“After a lifetime of promises as broken as the Coke bottles lining the streets of this city, and the same jagged edge to all of his relationships, she’d been the first to offer genuine kindness and care, to the point where he hadn’t trusted it for a heartbeat.”

What story I’m working on: Rising for Autumn, book three of the Philadelphia Coven Chronicles! (Finally picking up a bit of speed!)

What I’m editing/marketing: Editing Night Awakens and Captivating Melody (even though I was supposed to wait on all my beta-reader responses, I couldn’t wait!) As for marketing, I’m pushing full steam ahead with Scrying for Summer which comes out super soon!

Line of the week:

The closer she trudged down the path, the more familiar those tombstones became, glaring at her for trespassing on the forbidden ground. Even closer, the phantom scent of cloying incense invaded her senses, the same way it had that day as the priest shook in back and forth.

Line of the week:

She stepped out of the bathroom to narrowly dodge Jett skidding back, a wide grin on his face as Kieran lobbed a fist in his direction. Which placed her right in the line of fire.

His fist stopped a whisper away from her face and he froze in place, his gaze locked on her. “Damn, girl,” he murmured, lowering his hand as his eyes smoldered. “You look edible.”

What story I’m working on: Back to Night Awakens, my lovelies! It was a little tricksy to get back in the groove mid-story, but I have some different, better perspective I’m working with right now.

What I’m editing/marketing: A Tale of Two Airships–getting hard into the content edits of this one now. Slow going, like content edits always are for me, but I’m plugging away. I will say, it’s making me more and more excited to release it later this year. And I just started shipping Scrying for Summer off to the beta-readers. Not going to lie, the feedback I’m getting so far has me hella excited.

Line of the week:

“Wouldn’t dare,” he said with a smirk. “Cute attempt at a cover up earlier too.” He strode out of my kitchen and made his way to the door. “We both know you don’t give a goddamn about following orders for your team. You didn’t want her to kill me because you liiike me.”

Infuriating. Presumptuous. Pompous. Ass.
