What story I’m currently working on:

Well, my pace ground to a halt this week! I had a three day convention to vend at, and then when I returned on Monday, I was in full edits mode, which left zero time for working on the new story. On top of all of that, I had a release both Friday and Tuesday, so any hope of getting new wordage out was flushed down the toilet. However, hopefully by Monday at the latest, I’ll be back into the swing of things and pounding out the words. I’m in the last sector of this book.

What I’m editing/marketing:

So, I’m fully committed to getting Forged Redemption done. I make the vow now that by next week’s check-in, I’ll have the book finished and turned in to my editor. (That’s how freaking close I am) It’s what I’m working on all day today. On top of that, Forged Contracts is still on sale for 99 cents, and Forged Futures is now live! If you haven’t nabbed Tales from the Skies yet, it’s available for only 99 cents! More news on the agenda includes Hypnotizing Beat, book 2 in my Discord’s Desire series is going to be coming out before the end of the month, potentially May 29th! And if you haven’t nabbed Color of a Soul yet, it comes out June 3rd, and Hunting for Spring and Taking Root will be coming out the following month in July!

Line of the week:

“Wait,” Grif said, clapping a hand on his shoulder. Dan stilled, soaking in the heat from his palm.

“Tuesday is the day I lost them. Ever since then, I’ve never done a job on that day.”

Well, shit. Dan didn’t need to ask who ‘they’ were. He’d seen the shattered glass pain in Grif’s eyes at the mention of his murdered parents. He’d heard the acid edge to his tone when he talked about what had happened to them. Dan reached up to rest his hand over Grif’s, and he squeezed tight. Those words, faint, exposed, and wholly real, gave his heart a violent tug. If he wasn’t careful, he might tumble headfirst for this man.

Happy New Year!

Image result for happy new year

Let’s bid 2018 goodbye and set forth into the new year! And I’m planning on kicking some ass in 2019…

Starting with a brand new release, TODAY. Forged Decisions, book two in my Tribal Spirits series comes out today! And if you haven’t checked out the Tribal Spirits series yet, Forged Alliances is on sale for only 99 cents to celebrate!

ForgedDecisions

When Finn falls for Navi, a member of the East Coast Tribe, he’ll have to choose between the pack and family who saved him and the unforgettable woman who’s made her mark.

Ever since Sierra and Dax mated, forming their alliance, Finn has been restless in his position as beta for the Red Rock pack. So, when Navi, the gorgeous, lethal member of the East Coast Tribe, conscripts him to help break up the Landsliders’ drug-running ring, he leaps on the opportunity. As they work together, their attraction deepens to more than comrades and far more than a one-night stand. Except Navi isn’t sticking around town forever and Finn has his own responsibilities tethering him to the Red Rock pack.

When the trail to the drug ring leads them to the man who murdered Finn’s parents, Finn’s forced to confront the fears he’s buried and, in the process, the connection between him and Navi grows scorching and unforgettable. However, with an underground meth lab to bust and his parents’ murderer to take down, Finn throws his heart and soul into the fight, because he knows, even if he survives this, he’ll be forever marked by the goodbyes to follow.

And that’s just the beginning! We’ve got a whole line-up for 2019 already, and that’s not even including books out on submission or in the pipeline. Hope you’re ready to read!

What story I’m currently working on:

After an insane writing binge all year long, I’ve got some editing catch up to do. I finished Forged Futures last week and I’ve been starting to catch up on things around the house that I neglected and the manuscripts waiting to be worked on. I’ll be diving into Forged Redemption soon though. Working on it a little bit at a time until January hits and I launch full force into it.

What I’m editing/marketing:

Hypnotizing Beat is top priority on the editing front, and Forged Futures is out with beta readers. So, I’m hammering away at that, trying to get this work done. I’m preparing for a really intense beginning of the year release-wise. After all, I’ve got Tribal Spirits #2 in January, Of Tinkers and Technomancers in March, Tribal Spirits #2 in April, and potentially Tribal Spirits #4 in May….Intense, right? On the news front, A Reflection of Ice is now available in audio book! On top of that, Forged Alliances came out in November and Forged Decisions is available for pre-order and will release January 1st! I also gotta put a plug in for Bustles and Bells since it’s only available for the holidays!

Her current look was ‘spat out by a hurricane’ and she hated how her inside turmoil reflected out.

What story I’m currently working on:

Slowly getting back into the swing of things, but for good reason. Even still, I got some wordage in on Hypnotizing Beat, and I’m thinking I may try to ride this book out to its conclusion rather than sidestepping back to shifter land. As much as I love my shifters, the rockstar fae boys need some love too. Besides, the more I get back into the swing of things with Discord’s Desire, the more I remember the characters and feel of the book.

What I’m editing/marketing:

I leapt way far ahead with The Lies We Weave, finishing my rewrite, as well as the added scenes I needed to write in. I thought it would take forever, but it just took a couple super intense days of work. And I’m not going to lie, I felt iffy about this book before, but now I’m smitten. The dialogue leaps off the page, the characters are interesting, and the story resonates. Here’s to hoping. And as for new releases, you can look forward to Bustles and Bells later in the year, and Forged Alliances will actually go up for pre-order at the end of November!

Line of the week:

The moment she stepped into Kink and Candy, the AC slapped her in the face and she liked it. At once, the sweat started drying like paste across her skin, a fierce reminder to future Danica that a shower was essential tonight. Melrose stalked through the maze of stacked chairs and tables across the floor, heading towards the stage. The woman moved with preternatural grace, but it was anyone’s guess as to why a water nymph would take up residence in the desert. Regardless, Melrose ran a tight ship, and Danica trusted her in the business capacity—which is where she placed everyone.

All except one person.

Lenora hopped off the stage she’d been perched upon and raced over to her, a hurricane in heels.

What story I’m currently working on:

Well now, I thought I’d have a ton of time before even blinking at Taking Root again, but my beta readers are awesome and gave me critiques yesterday, so I’m real tempted to dive back in. I’m slowly creeping back into Hypnotizing Beat, hitting 8k, so I’m gonna have to really start diving into the universe again! Just recently got updates on Captivating Melody, not only the GORGEOUS cover, but also that it’ll be releasing in July! I also got 1k into the Airship Christmas short due in October. I figured get the small things off my plate quick.

What I’m editing/marketing:

I’ll have some news for you guys by next week, so sit tight! In the interim, I’ve launched full force into a large-scale edit of Musketeer Pirates. I’m going to take my time with this one and really make sure it shines. Hands down, it’s the most intensive fantasy worldbuilding I’ve ever done. If you’re waiting for Colors of a Soul, my Little Mermaid retelling, pre-order Legends of the Veil!

“Rare stories traveled of those who rose too high, the ships who sailed like Icarus towards the sun.And like him, they crashed and burned for their arrogance.”.jpg

Line of the week:

“The two of you seem ready enough to stomp through town,” I called over, announcing myself before the loud slap of my boots did.

Isabella arched a brow. “I prefer a quiet stroll, at best.”

“There’ll be nothing quiet if this one is involved,” Mordecai muttered. For such a short time on our ship, he blended like he’d been here a decade.

“Hey now, all I’m looking for is a peaceful holiday, free from jobs, Morlocks, and captaining. It’s not my fault trouble trails in my tailwinds.”

What story I’m currently working on:

Weeeeell, I don’t know if you noticed my lack of update last week? That’s because I was in PARIS. An amazing goddamn trip. And while there, I got amazing news that changed the trajectory of what I’m working on! Captivating Melody, book one in my Discord’s Desire series, is now picked up by Evernight Publishing, which means book two is a go! I just started Hypnotizing Beat and got up to a thousand words in! Since I’ve gotten home, I also plunged back into Taking Root and got up to 14k into the book!

What I’m editing/marketing: Well now, I started submitting out A Card of Shadows, what I’ve been referring to as The Wanderers, so it’s currently the waiting game. While I wanted to dive back into the edits on Musketeer Pirates, the fae novella comes first, so I started putting a major dent into that! I also scheduled edits for June, so that puts me on a nice and solid timeline for it. In upcoming news, the other steampunk boxset I’m in, Gaslights and Graves, is available for pre-order and goes live next Tuesday!!! An important announcement too: on May 7th, Loose Id is going into official shutdown and will begin pulling books from retailers. If you want to get my Philadelphia Coven Chronicles series or Forged Alliances, this will be your only chance for some time.

Line of the week:

A group of college age girls giggled from the other side of the bar, trying to flash him looks they deemed seductive. Trevor had received enough of them to become one jaded motherfucker. Unlike Jett and Ren who constantly whored themselves out, Trevor was a little more careful with who he took to bed. After all, no amount of energy he could siphon from a good fuck would fix the hopelessness that threatened to choke him every waking day. He spent his time waiting for the inevitable—to end up in that cell again.

What story I’m currently working on:

So, my deadline for the fae novella got pushed back. *HUGE sigh of relief* However, I have a lot of life stuff coming up and general busy-ness, so I’ve had to laser focus my time. I finished the proposal for the Daphne/Apollo story, Taking Root, and I’ll be sending that in a day or two! Woo! However, that also meant I had to boot Cupid’s Cafe to the back burner, at least until I send off this proposal.

What I’m editing/marketing: Ugh, I’ve been working on synopses and queries all week long until my brain matter wants to bleed out of my ears. I’m about halfway through the final readthrough of Wanderers–it’s an honest dice roll whether or not I’ll send it before the Paris trip or after. Only if it’s super ready. Once Wanderers is off my plate, I’ll be able to dive back into fae novella, and Musketeer Pirates which has been backburnered for awhile now. My young adult fairytale, A Reflection of Ice came out two weeks ago, same with Corsets and Cogs, which hit bestseller and I’m still excited for that!! In upcoming news, the other steampunk boxset I’m in, Gaslights and Graves, is available for pre-order!

Her skin crawled. She needed to answer, but the words gummed in her mouth. The idea of him heading anywhere nearby made her mind splinter, the white noise rising to blank out the memories it took years of therapy to resurrect. The longer Kyle Peterson remained a free man, the more of a chance he had to kill again. Even if the fear shot through her like Novocaine, she knew what she needed to do.
