What story I’m currently working on:

Still haven’t been able to write, sob, sob, sob. But yeah, next on the agenda is Forged Redemption, which I’ll be starting in January.

What I’m editing/marketing:

Editing has been the name of the game through most of December. I got my edits for Hunting for Spring finalized and turned around, and now I’m launching into the final rounds for Hypnotizing Beat, so I’m hoping to turn that in to publishers before the end of the year! But that’s not all on the agenda! Forged Decisions is available for pre-order and will release January 1st, which I’m super excited about! And to bolster that, Forged Alliances is on sale for 99 cents! Also, if you’re not ready to let the holidays go, make sure to check out Bustles and Bells while it’s still available!

Teaser of the week:

“The way he spoke to me, the admiration in his gaze, reminded me so, so much of myself staring at Morris, eyes reaching for the stars.”

Line of the week:

However, then the hunters had emerged from their anonymity, humans born with the ability to see through glamour, and families trained on every way to disarm and kill fae. A whole bunch of Buffy the Fae Slayers. When the hunters began to leave a trail of corpses, their former rules ceased relevance.

What story I’m currently working on:

I’m so looking forward to when I get to write again, lol. Unfortunately I think I have a couple more weeks of solid editing and marketing to do before that happens. Ideally, once January hits I’ll have at least a little more space to make it happen. When I do, the final book in the Tribal Spirits series, Forged Redemption, is first thing on the docket.

What I’m editing/marketing:

Forged Futures is currently out with beta readers, which is rad. I’ll be addressing it the moment I finish with Hypnotizing Beat. And as for that, I’m neck deep in the final rounds of editing, the super time consuming stuff before I send it out to my publisher. On top of that, my week got interrupted with more Hunting for Spring edits, including a semi-final galley for me to review. And then on the editing front, I kick off the new year with a release. Forged Decisions is available for pre-order and will release January 1st! After that, Of Tinkers and Technomancers will be on the agenda, same as Forged Contracts. I also gotta shout out about Bustles and Bells since it’s only available for the holidays!

Line of the week:

Trevor cocked an eyebrow. “You don’t think after we escaped a pack of bloodthirsty redcaps you’re going to be heading off to the hotel by your lonesome?”

Danica bit her lip. His concern burrowed inside her cold, black heart, as if it hadn’t desiccated years ago. “Like your RV’s not crowded enough already? Who knows what travesties that couch of yours has seen.”

“Who said you’d be sleeping on the couch?” he responded, the heat in his voice flushing through her from the inside out. He needed to stop being so attractive. It had become a serious problem.

What story I’m currently working on:

Well, hot damn, the wordinating continues. I reached 44k with Forged Futures, which brings me closer and closer to the end zone. And I’m right on target, as we’re ramping up chapterwise to the big fights and such which will grace the end section of the book. This one was an easy joy to write–the words just leaked out of me, and I can’t believe I’m as far in with it as I am. And I’ve already started brainstorming for Forged Redemption, the final book in the series, which totally feels like an insane thing to say, considering this all started last year.

What I’m editing/marketing:

I did some more editing on The Lies We Weave and sent out some more submissions, and I’m doing some massive edits on Hunting for Spring, which will be coming out July 2019! But it’s been nonstop, because just as Forged Alliances had a re-release, Forged Decisions is already available for pre-order! I’m so excited for these books to reach everyone! And of course, Bustles and Bells is still up for consumption, and we’re reaching the prime time of the year for a steampunk Christmas anthology! On top of that, A Reflection of Ice, An Airship Named Desire, and Snatched are all 99 cents right now, and Stolen Petals is free!

Teaser of the week:

“Because if I fell any deeper for the way his eyes crinkled with his smile or his habit of tapping on his nose to emphasize a point, my ship would be sunk.”

Line of the week:

Her throat squeezed tight as she pushed herself up from the ground. She reached out to run her fingers along the tombstone, as if she could still touch him.

“Baby, you’re still with me,” she murmured, needing him, somehow to know that. “I might have found someone, but you’re always going to be a part of my life.” His warmth, like the sun, and the way he threw his whole body into hugs. His confidence had infected her when they were kids, led her to chase after dreams, whether it was starting a horror club back in school, or becoming a massage therapist, because she wanted to help people.

He had been a large part of the beginning of her life, and he would always be with her, every time she sang Bon Jovi off-key, or smelled the forsythia in the spring. She just couldn’t end here. Not yet.

What story I’m currently working on:

Well guys, I’m closing in on this book. Hypnotizing Beat will not conquer me, especially when I use NaNo fuel to finish it! I am so excited! I’m in the final 5k of this book, since I just hit 66k. I didn’t think I’d ever reach iiiit. But wait, that’s not all! I also moved forward on Forged Futures, because that book’s been percolating in my head for awhile. I’m up to 11k, and I can’t wait to really dive full force in for the brunt of November!

What I’m editing/marketing:

Well, I’m for the most part done with edits on The Lies We Weave, though I’ll be doing some fine tuning. And this week, Bustles and Bells released, so if you get the chance over the holiday season, get your copy of this amazing steampunk anthology! Forged Alliances follows in a couple of weeks, which kicks off my Tribal series all over again! And coming soon after that will be Forged Decisions, available to pre-order on November 20th, and then release day on January 1st!

Line of the week:

“Come on now, and miss out on the pleasant sound of my voice?” she continued, goading him on. “You wouldn’t deprive yourself of that now would you? If you like, I’ve got a half dozen limericks memorized. I could begin to recite them.” The redcap let out a grunt and stalked towards the desk. Her heart pounded faster in her chest, but she continued. “There once was an old man in a tree, who was horribly bored by a bee.”

What story I’m currently working on:

Slow but steady on Hypnotizing Beat! I hit 45k on it, and I’m continuing to make my strides forward. With any luck, I’ll finish it by the end of the month or at least by the end of November. However, since things are a bit slow for me lately and it’s still a slog with Hypnotizing Beat, I’m allowing myself to work on Forged Futures once I get my necessary word count done for the Discord’s Desire book. Because I really want to write Lana and Lucas’s story!

What I’m editing/marketing:

I’m currently diving into the final rounds of edits for The Lies We Weave AND even polishing up the query! Right now, I’m less in editing mode and more in buy-buy, sell-sell mode because Bustles and Bells, the steampunk Christmas anthology I’m a part of, is up for pre-order now, as is Forged Alliances which is set to release November 13th!

Line of the week:

Even with the nerves running up and down his arms and legs like flame, Trevor allowed himself to grin and laugh with his bandmates. It was hard not to with the ridiculous way Ren piped, headbanging up and down to his own music. Or how Kieran fondled that mic like he owed it a favor. Even Jett dove into the fray, sneaking his own brand of misheard lyrics into their song, pickle instead of fickle, or heartbroken as Hoboken.
