Captivating Melody Release Day!

Captivating-Melody-evernightpublishing-JUNE2018-evernightbanner_preview

God, I’m so thrilled for my first release with Evernight Publishing and the first book in the Discord’s Desire series! Get your copy HERE!

Cross a satyr, a siren, and an incubus with rock and roll, and you get Discord’s Desire, a band of panty-dropping hellions whose live shows incite orgies. As booking manager, Liz O’Brien has the monumental task of keeping the boys in line. She’s resistant to glamour of the fae and fame variety, which only makes her more tempting to lead singer, Kieran Blackmore. With his incubus charms, he could have any girl he wants—except Liz, who’s determined to stay professional.

However, when Kieran’s brother sends hitmen after the band, Liz discovers hunters with her abilities who are mortal enemies of the fae. Mercenaries might attack post-show, but Liz has her Beretta to handle that. What terrifies her more than any monster is how she’s falling for Kieran, which triggers every ‘run-away’ sensor in her foster kid handbook. With war brewing between the hunters and the fae, their love can only end in heartbreak.

“Maybe being surrounded by rockstars has me looking for a regular guy.” Liz locked gazes with Kieran, challenge flashing in her eyes. The poor bartender was getting dragged into batt

To her relief, the lights dimmed even more, and the spotlights circled to the front and center stage, casting a hush through the crowd. A smile curled her lips once Kieran’s sultry voice came over the speakers, the effects dropping like a pheromone bomb onto the audience. A visible ripple didn’t cascade through the air, but once his voice reached a familiar intensity and the rest of the band began playing, a huge scream resounded through the crowd.

Even without the incubus abilities at work, she had to admit, the man possessed a toe-curlingly sexy voice. As she scanned over the crowd, the beginnings of the orgy broke out, where strangers locked lips and deepened their kisses. A pair in front of her started getting handsy, and all of a sudden shirts were coming off. They weren’t even finished the first song, and the scent of sex laced through the room.

Liz let out a sigh. This was why she stayed backstage during the shows. Her glamour-resistance turned her into the one sober person at this lust inspired rager. Her dry spell would have to continue for now since she refused to hook up with the tool next to her and didn’t mainline the swell of sexuality like everyone else. Plus, with Mr. Fae Bartender behind her, she needed to act with extra caution. Bolting from fae sent the same message as a red flag to a bull—pretty please, come chase me.

On stage, Trevor thrummed away at the guitar, his fingers plucking over the strings with the skillful focus he always employed. He leaned up to the mic in front of him to add in the background vocals, the sensual tenor blending with Ky’s baritone. Renn’s hair flew as he thrashed away at the drums, his hands moving lightning fast and his hooves tapping the pedals. Meanwhile Jett romanced the length of his bass, providing the deep undercurrent the siren always did as those notes came out soul-wrenching.

Kieran’s voice reached a crescendo, drawing her attention front and forward. Normally when he sang, his gaze cast far and wide over the audience, as if he were romancing the crowd as a whole, but tonight, his eyes were locked on one person alone. She tried to swallow, but her throat grew dry.

Long strands of his dark hair drifted across his eyes as he clutched the microphone and rocked back and forth with it, the intensity projecting in his voice. He’d tossed his patched leather to the floor, stripped to a black wifebeater that clung to him like a second skin and revealed the intricate phoenix tattoo coiling down his arm. His hips shifted while he moved to the beat of the music, his grey jeans clinging to those powerful thighs. Yet nothing snared her as much as his amber eyes focused straight on her the entire time.

Heat flushed through her at his undivided attention, and while she’d like to blame it on all the bump and grind going on around her, Kieran got her hot and bothered. However, she wasn’t one to sit back and melt. Liz met his eyes and winked with a smirk. She caught the hint of a smile by the crinkle in his eyes as he crooned away.

The Smexy Blog Hop and Giveaway!

Smexy Romance Giveaway Button.jpg

Smexy Excerpt:

Brenna’s rolled-up sleeves exposed more of her creamy skin, even though she’d buttoned the shirt to hide the burnt holes on her white tank. She sat slouched to the side, and her legs twined along the couch, as if she’d conquered her surroundings. The way she leaned made her sloping curves more pronounced, and Conor couldn’t help following the trail up to her ripe lips. He stirred below at the thought of those long legs wrapped around his waist, and her ample breasts pressed against him.

The woman was wild, and not the kind you placed an arm around or sought to capture. She was the type who chased, who danced into your life like a spring storm, and left you battered and quaking in the wake. He froze as her eyes met his—caught staring.

However, as the tension settled between them, he found he couldn’t look away, nor did she. Her blue eyes sparked crystalline with interest as her gaze swept over him. Heat flushed through him under her scrutiny, and he hardened at once. The crisp ozone of an oncoming storm settled over them, and her scent seized him with longing, strong and sudden. Her breaths came out heavier, each one with a promise, and the languid blink of her long lashes only enhanced his arousal. He found himself drawn in like a sailor lured to sea, despite the dangers of the wild, untamable woman before him.

Adrenaline trickled through him and traveled down. He leaned forward, but before he could seize control, she rushed in like an onslaught.

Her lips pressed against his, and the motion sparked such a strong surge, he almost backed away. Instead, he pushed forward, twining his fingers through her dark, tangled hair and returning the kiss with full fervor. She fought with ferocity, and her nails curled into his shoulder as she bit down on his lip. Conor Malone wasn’t one to shirk from a fight, though, and he returned her intensity, shoving her down on the couch as his lips found hers again and again.

Heat swelled through him, intoxicating his brain. He slipped a hand up into her shirt to brush against her waist, the skin soft as cream and begging to be tasted. A moan escaped her lips at the touch, and she wrapped her legs around his. He kissed her lower, along her neck, and she responded in turn as those delicate fingertips explored his chest, seizing on his belt. Her grip made him even harder. He claimed her mouth again, darting his tongue in to deepen the kiss as he continued pressing her against the couch. The scorching blaze from their bodies purged any rational thought from his mind.

Blurb:

Hunters are a lonely breed, and Conor’s no exception–until he meets Brenna. Even though she slinks in unannounced and kills the wight he’s hunting down, and he should be backing carefully away, he can’t get her blinding smile or gorgeous curves off his mind. The girl’s a mystery he can’t resist, so since they’re both after the same caster who’s unleashing these monsters, he suggests teaming up. Despite her initial reluctance, Brenna joins Conor’s quest and soon the wights aren’t the only thing the lusty lady is hunting down.

He’s happy enough to satisfy her hungers, though he wishes she’d give him a few answers with her kisses. Soon enough he learns her secrets have repercussions. Faster than Conor can lift his Glock, he’s drawn into a web of kidnappings and Unseelie mischief, and it’s all concealing the machinations of a darker foe–one determined to bring Philly and the two hunters to ruin.

Beyond Fairytales Spotlight: Rain by Taryn Kincaid

Decadent Publishing’s Beyond Fairytales series takes fairytales from well known to the obscure and then cranks up the heat! The differing stories delve into many different sub-genres and styles of erotic romance, but all of them have a fairy tale feel as the authors meld the old stories into something new.

Today we’re featuring Rain by Taryn Kincaid:

TK_BeyondFairytales_Rain_medium

Based on the fairytale: Sleeping Beauty

Sleeping Beauty in a post-apocalyptic land…

In a world gone mad, where little remains but a vast wasteland of sand, the leader of a troop of roving warriors welcomes a brave young woman into his midst.

Much as he burns for her, Major Clay Worthington swears to keep his distance from the mysterious woman, so sensitive even the stinging rain can wound her.

Rosina Brierly is besotted with the formidable soldier and will gladly trade her life for one torrid night of blissful passion in his arms.

But when sleep overcomes them, will true love prevail?

Sneak Peek into Rain:

Does the major ever feel lust? Does he covet a woman’s touch? He never gave any sign he did. Too aloof and austere, too remote from the simple emotions of mere mortal men.

He shook her again. “Wake up, princess. The rain will come soon.”

The men looked forward to the rain. They hated the relentless sun blasting down upon them, as if they thought it would incinerate what was left of the earth beneath their boots, baking the soft sand into badlands as hard as concrete. They’d strip off their T-shirts and boots, their combat fatigues, and sometimes even their camouflage boxer shorts, and dance and play, naked or nearly so, in the slanting gray soup, laughing, tossing round balls or throwing saucer-shaped plastic discs to each other.

For her, the showers had the opposite effect. The stinging rain sliced into her sensitive skin like acid, raising blisters and sores, sometimes bloodying her.

She did not know why the major called her princess. Perhaps he didn’t know either. Whatever royalty once walked the earth had long gone, fled underground or died in battle or simply disappeared. The war engulfed every human on the planet, every inch of land, and had waged so long she doubted anyone remembered anymore. Well, maybe Nicodemus. At least he sometimes hinted he did in the stories he told. And she had seen him whisper into the major’s ear, unknown things that made the major pale beneath his weathered tan.

Major Worthington did not treat her like a princess, though, except when she slumbered, when he knelt before her in her fantasy world, his head bowed, his fist over his heart, laying his sword at her feet and claiming the role of knight. Her hero. Her champion. When she awoke, he remained one of the elite warrior breed roaming the planet, bristling with weapons like the soldiers he led. He treated her as the translator she was to him, sometimes barking orders to her as if she were one of his men, only occasionally seeking her counsel.

She came fully awake as he jerked her up from the ground and yanked her toward him. The glare of the setting sun broadsided her, hurting her eyes. Why was he so insistent about the impending rain? No clouds yet darkened the sky, although the hour sped toward evening dusk now. But no hint of shadow yet blotted the horizon.

“I can smell it,” he muttered.
