What story I’m currently working on:

Well now, I made it to 41k in A Thief’s Crusade. This book is coming out faster than anticipated, and what’s crazy is I’m going to have to go on a week hiatus with it while I’m on my vacation. I’m at that point where it’s all either brilliant or rubbish, which is pretty common once you get past the big middle twist. One of the trickiest things right now is getting the timing right, because I’m not only working on a romance which requires tight pacing, but a heist which requires precise pacing.

What I’m editing/marketing:

Well now, I’m diving into the big edits for Forged Redemption! It’s crazy to think that I should be able to get this turned in to my editor in May. The Tribal Spirits series was a wild ride, and that book means a lot to me. If you haven’t checked out Forged Contracts yet, it’s currently on sale for 99 cents! And while you’re catching up on the Tribal Spirits series, nab Forged Futures which is up for pre-order!!! The pre-orders don’t stop there either…because in May and June respectively, Tales from the Skies and Color of a Soul come out!

“Because I can’t get you out of my goddamn head,” Grif growled, his voice echoing in the chilled air. His blue eyes flashed with a furious amount of emotion, more than he’d ever seen from the placid man. The kind he’d lose his mind trying to chase. “Because the mere thought of a moment with you has me breaking all my rules. Because you’ve got this softness the world hasn’t managed to beat out of you yet, and I’m going insane trying to get it out of my system.”

Grif’s shoulders heaved in exertion as he lapsed to silence. Dan sucked in a sharp breath. He couldn’t look away from him if he tried. Those lips so close to his was scrambling his mind, as was the temptation of crumbling against that firm chest.  Except that was the same way he’d gotten cornered by Brennerman in the first place. Grif goddamn Blackmore. For all his pretty words, he’d still come in like the thief he was, all lies and charm.

“Pretty sure the softness has been beaten out of me now,” he whispered, his voice cracking in the process. Fuck, he drowned in Grif’s intense presence and didn’t want to come up for breath.

Grif reached forward and skimmed his thumb along Dan’s chin, nudging it up until their eyes locked again.

“Bull shit,” he responded, that mesmerizing mouth an inch away. “I can still see it in your eyes.”

What story I’m currently working on:

Slower word count week again, but I’m making headway with A Thief’s Crusade, hitting 24k this week. I’ve already started deviating from the synopsis/plot I set up, because a pantser can’t stop pantsing just because an outline is in place. And so far, the cast is bright, vibrant, and buckets of fun. I’m really looking forward to getting to the meat of the heist later on as well as the emotional scenes. (I’m always looking forward to the emotional scenes)

What I’m editing/marketing:

Continuing to do the line edits on Forged Redemption while I await beta feedback so if I need to add in sections/change large things I can get right to it. Hopefully editing will be smoother than anticipated, even though I have the feeling I still need to pull out the stops a bit more at the ending, because series ending. And Forged Contracts came out yesterday, so if you haven’t gotten your copy, do that thing. On top of that, Forged Futures goes up for pre-order!!! And the other two pre-orders waiting to hit soon are Tales from the Skies and Color of a Soul!

Thanks, now I’m hard again. I don’t know how I’m supposed to face you in the morning without blushing.

A grin spread on his lips, and warmth coiled in his chest.

Just keep thinking of all the filthy things I want to do to you. Guaranteed to help.

Grif stared up at his blank ceiling, trying to ignore the stutter-start of his heart. He’d just come in from a long run, and a huge mess, so of course his heart would be racing like a maniac. Not like that explained the honeyed way the heat coursed through his veins, tingling down to his fingers and toes. His simple conversation with Dan had somehow leeched away some of the pounding necessity of his problems, cast them off the shore to sink into the ocean.

Pre-Order Forged Futures!

978-1-78686-478-9_ForgedFutures_1500X2400

The next book in the Tribal Spirits series is already up to bat! Pre-order Forged Futures today! And I’m working on editing the final book for submission as we speak! The Tribal Spirits series has been a wild ride.

Lana’s barely surviving the loss of her husband when Tribe member Lucas offers protection from the Landsliders, but in each other, they might uncover a chance to heal.

Joe Ganzorig, Mackey Kendricks’ right hand shaman, has appeared in Ricketts Glen again, and Lucas Diaz is on the job. Except this time, the Landsliders are targeting the recently widowed Lana Bennett. Turns out her husband’s murder hadn’t been accidental—he was involved in the Landsliders and stole an anti-shifter bomb from the big boss himself. The Landsliders want it back, and they won’t stop their attacks until their device is delivered.

Lucas volunteers to keep her safe while they search for the device, needing to protect this wry, stunning woman who’s still standing even after everything she’s weathered. Despite the distance they each try to keep, both Lucas and Lana can’t deny the scorching attraction between them. However, with the constant reminders of Lana’s husband and the Landsliders increasing their threats by the day, these newfound feelings could expire before they ignite. And if the Landsliders find the device before them, none of the shifters will stand a chance at survival.

What story I’m currently working on:

Oh my dear lord, I plowed through the ending and will probably have to retool a lot in edits. But more importantly, FORGED REDEMPTION IS COMPLETE.  I’m so stoked that I hit my revised goal of finishing this book by the end of the month. I feel like there’s this huge weight off my shoulders now. The full breadth of the fact that my shifter series is over hasn’t quite sunk in, but I think when it does I’ll absolutely miss them. It’ll probably hit when edits are all over and I click send on the email. In the meanwhile, I wrote a scorching sex scene for Grif and Dan in A Thief’s Crusade, so here’s hoping the rest of the writing goes as smoothly. (It won’t.)

What I’m editing/marketing:

I’m editing….nothing at the moment, which is why I had all this time to write, lol. From here on out though, I’ll have Forged Redemption to edit, so that’s a thing. And I’ve now got more time to promote, which is good, because of all the Tribal Spirits books coming out. Forged Decisions is 99 cents for a few more days, so catch it now! And then Forged Contracts releases in under two weeks, and I’m so not prepared. I am excited for that book to come out though, because it’s one I was super proud of. And from there on out, the books continue rolling, because Forged Futures will be up for pre-order in April to release in May, Tales from the Skies releases in May, and Color of a Soul will be out in June.

What story I’m currently working on:

Ha. Ha, ha, ha. I’m back, baby. After doing so freaking much editing the first month of the year, I thought I’d never get my writing stride back. My goal had been 50k, but I blew past that and hit 60k. The end of this manuscript is in sight, at about probably another 15k. If I have another week like this one, I’ll be able to finish the book by the end of the month, which was more than I could’ve hoped.

What I’m editing/marketing:

Finished the initial edits of Waking for Winter, which means my full attention is on writing. Which is good. After all of the work I did earlier on editing nonstop, I’m excited for the break. It feels weird not having something to simultaneously edit. Of Tinkers and Technomancers came out last week, kicking off my brand new steampunk romance trilogy! And there’s only about a week and a half left to grab Forged Decisions for 99 cents, so you can catch up for Forged Contracts when it releases a week after! Of course, the onslaught doesn’t stop, because Tales from the Skies and Color of a Soul will be coming out in May and June.

Drew snorted as he pulled up an extra chair to the table with them, a plate of pancakes piled high and drenched with syrup. He slammed his fork in and began to chow down.

“I’m just getting rid of the baggage before diving into the good stuff. Perfectly reasonable.”

“Chew a little louder,” Ally shot back. “They can’t hear you in France.”

What story I’m currently working on:

Well, I almost doubled my output from last week! I started getting to all the fun stuff that I’ve been dying to write in this story which always makes it easier to jam out on words. I’m really hoping by next check-in to hit 50,000 which had originally been my goal for March. I just hit 43k in Forged Redemption, so my stretch goal for the month will be 60k, which will probably make getting it finished in April an achievable thing. I’ve cried through writing like half of this book, so either it’s gold, or I’m just a wreck.

What I’m editing/marketing:

I’m closing in on finishing the initial edits for Waking for Winter, which is good, because next on the editing agenda is a revise and resubmit for Lies We Weave–we’re talking massive overhaul, folks. Of Tinkers and Technomancers came out yesterday, which is the launch of my new steampunk romance trilogy! In the meanwhile, Forged Decisions is on sale for 99 cents, right in time to catch up with the Tribal Spirits series before Forged Contracts releases! That’s not the only book up for pre-order! Tales from the Skies and Color of a Soul will be coming out in May and June respectively, but the paperbacks should be available before that. (So I can bring them to COGs in May!)

Ally’s heart squeezed tight in her chest. Every time she wanted to get pissed at Lana for taking a crowbar and prying open the rusted basement doors she’d stuffed her emotions into she couldn’t. Because truth be told, she’d been dying to speak for far too long. Yet every time she tried to open her mouth, all she could see was the dinner table growing up. When she’d start babbling about her day, about what Susie said in school, the butterfly she drew, and how she’d outrun Dax.

Every time, her mom would let out that sigh, the sort of disappointment that no amount of soap could scrub off. And then would come the comments—that mindless words were better off left in her head, that nobody liked obnoxious kids like her, and the time-worn favorite, her eternal trump card: no wonder dad left.

What story I’m currently working on:

My pace slowed again last week because I finished all of the proposals, and then had life things going on. However, I’m still determined to get to 20k by the end of the month, and since I’m currently at 18k, I’m close!!! Once I finish Forged Redemption, it’s a dice roll what I’ll work on next, but I have a lot of projects in the works as well as series to continue!

What I’m editing/marketing:

I’m continuing to edit Rising for Autumn, but I’m going to have to switch to marketing soon. On top of that though, An Airship Named Desire and A Tale of Two Airships are currently on sale, and for the rest of the month, Forged Decisions is only 99 cents! On top of all of that, Of Tinkers and Technomancers will be coming out in a couple of weeks! Excite! Just in time to promote the pre-order of Forged Contracts which just went live! Never a dull moment…
