km_risingforautumn

Crisis and danger have become second nature for Alanna Carrington. After all, as the boss of the Philadelphia Coven, she’s responsible for upholding the laws amongst the supernatural. Which means when the Order of the Serpent rears its ugly head, this time with the most powerful necromancer this city’s ever seen, she’s the one person who can keep Philly safe. Ex-Order djinn and now ally, Samuel Karim, happens to be the best-suited guy to help. Except he’s also the first man who’s stoked her interest in far too long, and ever since she commandeered the lamp he’s tethered to for safekeeping, he also hates her guts.

As the Order gathers the necromancers of her city and sparks a dangerous alliance, she finds herself working with Samuel Karim more and more. Hatred turns to passion, and when he exhibits a strength and compassion that breaks through her ironclad defenses, she finds herself falling deeper despite the complications between them. Yet with her city under siege and their lives on the line, the sharp desire between them erupts into the temptation to break their own rules, before the Order of the Serpent robs them of the chance permanently.

What story I’m working on: Hit 21k with Future King, which has been slow moving as of late. Meanwhile, things are really picking up pace with the shifter story and I’m starting to try and come up with a title. Any suggestions? I just hit 28k there and reached sort of the midway point of the story and where it’ll unfold from here.

What I’m editing/marketing: Just completed the final edit of Waking for Winter. Can’t wait to submit the final book in the Philadelphia Coven Chronicles to Tamzin! And on February 7th, book three, Rising for Autumn comes out, and I’m beyond excited for that release. I’m hella proud of that book.

Line of the week:

Well, Dax had wanted distraction, but he didn’t think meeting the infamous Tribe with a raging hard-on was putting his best foot forward. Still, the bloom of Sierra’s arousal in the air wasn’t helping tamp down the intense lust she inspired in him. He sucked in a deep breath and focused on nasty ass things, like wrinkled, paper-thin skin, the moldy can of tomatoes he had in the fridge, and the bottle of midori he’d killed as a teen, turning his puke neon green for days. By the time she opened the bar door, he was ready to face whoever waited inside.

What story I’m working on: Hit 20k with Future King, which has been taking a bit of a backseat with how the shifter story has been flowing. What can I say? Romance is easy for me, and with Future King, I have to pause a lot to research things! With the shifter story, I hit 24k, and I’m getting into the meat of the plot. Dax and Sierra have been a blast to write.

What I’m editing/marketing: Continuing with the final edit of Waking for Winter before I submit it to my editor. Still not sure if I’ll have it ready by the end of January since that’s only a couple days away. Right now I’m prepping for Rising for Autumn’s release which I’m more excited for by the second!

Line of the week:

She snuck him the side-eye. “Since I’ve had enough of your mouth for the next decade, why don’t we throw a movie on?”

Dax shook his head, unable to help his weary smile as he settled back into his couch and grabbed the remote. “Were you just born bossy? Did you slide out of the wombs making demands at the doctor?”

“If you’ve got a natural talent for something, why quash it?” she shrugged, even though her eyes gleamed with wickedness.

Last Saturday, I attended my first multi-author signing as an attending author! Unmask the Romance took place in Phoenixville, PA and was set up by the incomparable A.L. Wood and Renee Lee Fisher!

I didn’t know what to expect, but I really enjoyed the experience. It was wonderful meeting and interacting with so many other authors around me as well as the exuberant and enthusiastic readers who attended. Altogether, I’d definitely attend again, and I’m looking forward to heading to more author/reader cons!

Some of the lovely folks I met included Theresa Troutman, Jennifer Loring, and Emma Lee Skye, so if you dig great romance novels, check them out!

Next year’s Unmask the Romance is May 2018, so you’ll definitely find me there!

Philadelphia Coven Chronicles Progress!

Hunting for Spring kicked off this awesome series!

bookpromo46

Conor and Brenna introduced the whole magical world inside of Philly teeming with nasties. And by the end of the story, their lives got tethered to the Coven, which is the recurring organization throughout the series, hence the name!

Now Liam and Jev get to tell their story in Scrying for Summer, and they continue the tales of the Order of the Serpent causing problems throughout Philly. And introducing more new, awesome characters!

Currently I’m working on a necromancer and Order of the Serpent filled story with Alanna and Sam at the helm. Book three is underway, Rising for Autumn!! Hurray!

Stay tuned either here or on Facebook for updates!

Intro to Liam!

Hurray for Scrying for Summer‘s release today, where you get to meet Liam O’Reilly, one of my favorite heroes!

KM_ScryingforSummer

I’ll be the first to admit, when I started writing Hunting for Spring, I never thought Liam would’ve transformed into the fantastic complex character you see in Scrying for Summer. And holy hell, his slick cockiness is ridiculously sexy. He’s selfish yet selfless at the same time, a character that appears callous and superficial but has some wonderful depths to uncover. Writing his character was an adventure in and of itself, and I hope everyone enjoys him in this book!
