New Release Date for Forged Decisions!

Who’s excited for book #2 in the Tribal Spirits series? This girl.

Seriously, I’ve been waiting to share this one with you guys since last December. Now you can add it on Goodreads or check out the website for the latest updates, because Forged Decisions is going to be available for pre-order on November 20th! AAAND it’s going to release on January 1st!

“Don_t stop for my sake—I was enjoying the show,” Navi drawled, leaning against one of the pillars in the center of the room. The damn panther could sneak around better than most

When Finn falls for Navi, a member of the East Coast Tribe, he’ll have to choose between the pack and family who saved him, and the unforgettable woman who’s made her mark.

Ever since Sierra and Dax mated, forming their alliance, Finn has been restless in his position as beta for the Red Rock pack. So when Navi, the gorgeous, lethal member of the East Coast Tribe, conscripts him for help breaking up the Landsliders’ drug running ring, he leaps on the opportunity. As they work together, their attraction deepens to more than comrades and far more than a one night stand. Except Navi isn’t sticking around town forever, and Finn has his own responsibilities tethering him to the Red Rock pack.

When the trail to the drug ring leads them to the man who murdered Finn’s parents, Finn’s forced to confront the fears he’s buried, and in the process, the connection between him and Navi grows scorching and unforgettable. However, with an underground meth-lab to bust and his parents’ murderer to take down, Finn throws his heart and soul into the fight, because he knows even if he survives this, he’ll be forever marked by the goodbyes to follow.

Hunting for Spring Under Contract!

bookpromo46

Hunting for Spring is now contracted with Soul Mate Publishing!!! Stay tuned, because you’ll be getting a newly edited version of my Philly series ❤

Hunters are a lonely breed, and Conor’s no exception, until the day he meets Brenna. Even though she slinks in unannounced and kills the wight he was hunting down, the girl’s a mystery and he can’t get that blinding smile or those gorgeous curves off his mind. Since they’re both after the same caster who’s unleashing these monsters, he suggests teaming up, and despite her initial reluctance, the hungry way she scans him down promises something powerful.

However, her secrets have repercussions, and faster than Conor can lift his Glock, he’s drawn into the web of kidnappings and Unseelie mischief, all concealing the machinations of a darker foe—one that plans to bring Philly to ruin.

Weekly Word Count #135

Word Count: 10,671

What story I’m currently working on: Talk about getting my mojo back! I hit 70k on Airship! I’m hoping for a binge session tonight and tomorrow, then maybe Sunday to finish it out by the end of the week. Mark my words, next week when I update, The Airship Also Rises will be COMPLETE. I’m starting to get that itch for the new story I have percolating around too, so I may jump in on that next instead of the romance I was playing around with. We’ll see. With no current series obligations (yet–I am hopeful for some soon) the sky is wide open!

What I’m editing/marketing: The only downside about sending out all of the things is that while I’m in the moment and hitting the send button, it feels so good. I am doing a thing! Then comes the waiting, lol. I just sent out another couple submissions for Captivating Melody, and so I have about 8 places I’m waiting to hear back from. As for editing, it sounds like my line edits for A Reflection of Ice will be around the February/March timeline. Of Tinkers and Technomancers will be around March/April, and the boxset will be available in May. When the boxset dissolves, it’ll be available standalone in June!

Teaser of the week:

“They shot one of ours.” The lines deepened around his grey eyes. “I_d waste the whole army for spilling a drop of my crew_s blood.”

Line of the week:

The troubles that had all begun with a single job, for a stupid box.

I’d end them, here and now.

Loose Id Closing

“You may have a fresh start any moment you choose, for this thing that we call “failure” is not the falling down, but the staying down.” –Mary Pickford

So, one of my big goals from 2015 to now was writing and completing a whole series. I accomplished that this year with the Philadelphia Coven Chronicles, only made possible by my amazing publisher Loose Id. They saw me through a lot of different firsts–my first advance, my first individually assigned editor (a lot of other publishers assigned editors on a rotation basis), and I really, really treasured them for it. So, you can imagine when I got the news late Friday night of Loose Id’s decision to shut down in May, I was devastated–I still am.

Honestly, a lot of this year has taken me to the brink and caused me to take a hard look at why I’m really doing this, and how much rejection and defeat I’m capable of withstanding. Apparently, a lot.

I’m not going to sugarcoat things–this hurts. It slices me to my core, and I know the blow will linger for some time now. However, I’m an author, setbacks happen, and I need to keep dusting off my pants and moving forward. So, I will carry the hurt and the lessons with me, and even though the plan I had just got shattered, I will form a new one.

Just a bit ago, I spoke heavily of more in the Tribal Spirits series coming out next year. In fact, that was going to be my main focus. Unfortunately, the rights for the first book don’t revert back to me until May, and then I’ll begin trying to find it and the completed second book a new home. Once that happens, I’ll pick up that project again. So, what does that mean? A wide open slate for 2018? Not in the slightest. It means a readjustment.

I had been reworking my rockstar fae book, Captivating Melody, which after a bunch of rejections from the big leagues I set on the backburner. I’ve decided to put my time into that, shine that bad boy up, and start submitting it to other publishers. And of course, I still have A Reflection of Ice coming out with Opal Moon Press next year, as well as Of Tinkers and Technomancers with After Glows.

The other big focus for 2018 will be the Take to the Skies series. I plan to have The Airship Also Rises finished by January, so then I can begin the editing process. From there, I hope to have it released August 17, 2018, which will mark another completed series.

For those concerned about the Philadelphia Coven Chronicles, and the Tribal Spirits series, don’t worry. They’ll still be available for sale until May, and as soon as the rights are released on June 1st, I will work on finding them the best new homes possible, and hopefully be able to have the books you love back out and available in a newer form. This change is a massive overhaul, I know. And I’m going to miss working with MT, Allie, Treva, and my editor Tamzin, so, so much. However, I will not let this setback ruin me, nor this defeat steal my drive, even if it leaves its marks along the way. As always, I will continue moving forward.

The Philadelphia Coven has thwarted the Order of the Serpent’s every attempt to destroy their city, only to draw out the scariest nightmare from the Otherworld–the Caoranach. However, one member of the Philly Coven, Cami Akiyama, has already met this creature–the very monster who tortured her and branded her with a mark. Given their history, the Coven leader assigns her a bodyguard–none other than the gorgeous and lethal necromancer, Dante Martinez, the ex-boyfriend she’d disappeared on years ago. A single conversation confirms the spark between them never died, and based on the way Dante teases and flirts, he’s not about to let that flame get snuffed out without a fight.

No one has ever compared to the incendiary passion Dante inspired in her, but after being marked and broken by a monster, she’s too damaged to rekindle any sort of relationship. Not like that stops him. If anything, he fights harder for the memories of a love that kept her sane on her bleakest nights. And despite every effort to distance, Cami finds herself falling for him all over again. Except the Caoranach doesn’t just plan to devastate this city. The Caoranach possesses a deadly secret; one, when revealed, holds the power to shatter Cami completely.
