What story I’m currently working on:

I’m at 12k at Tempting Ballad and still trying to get in the swing of things. It’s taking some time, since I just did a major editing push. Though, this book has been scorching so far–Renn’s got sex on the brain nonstop, and it’s going to be tough to switch this commitment phobe’s gear to a relationship with the rebel CEO. I adore both of the characters though. They’ve been really fun to write.

What I’m editing/marketing:

The waiting, the waiting, the waiiiting–now on Pomegranate’s Kiss too, because I finished that book this past week and sent it off to submissions. Once I hear back from the publisher, I’m going to decide if I’m gonna start writing Tempting Ballad and the next Eros Tales simultaneously, because Mitch and Nellie’s story is begging to be written. Next on the release agenda is the final Tribal Spirits book, Forged Redemption, but there will also be two re-releases in November: Captured Memories (Cupid’s Cafe #3) and Scrying for Summer (Philadelphia Coven Chronicles #2)

Renn slid into the bed, that scent of Kincaid’s rosewood cologne wrapping around him. Kincaid reached forward, stroked a palm over his cock, and then bit his ear. A shudder ran down Renn’s spine and he ground himself against Kincaid’s grasp. He didn’t give a damn if he’d already come earlier in the night—he was ready for round two.

“Hope you have dirty dreams about me,” Kincaid murmured. “See you in the morning.”

Just as fast, he removed his hands and teeth and then switched the light off. Kincaid slipped under the blankets, rested his head on the pillow, and closed his eyes. Renn flipped to face him, the man’s hands not all over his body like they should’ve been.

“You’re a fucking sadist,” Renn muttered, running a hand through his tangled strands. His cock was so hard he could knock someone out with it.

“Only for you, gorgeous,” Kincaid shot back, his lips lifting in a grin even though his eyes remained shut.

Renn swallowed hard as he flipped away from Kincaid. Something about this caused his skin to prickle—it felt way more intimate than sticking his dick in someone. He shifted at least five times before Kincaid’s hand settled on his side. The weight of it caused Renn to still, for once the thump-thump-thump inside him levelling out. He closed his eyes and sucked in a deep breath.

No matter how hard they both try and no matter how many times they’ve walked away, the flame has never extinguished between them. This time, Drew’s fought for his redemption, changed for the better, and the relationship that blooms between them, for once, might stand a chance.

All they have to do is survive the fight against the biggest, baddest shifter on the East Coast.

What story I’m currently working on:

After finishing A Thief’s Crusade last week, I turned down to a slow simmer on the word count front. Still, 3k of a head start into Tempting Ballad (Discord’s Desire #3) isn’t bad! Of course, right as I start Tempting Ballad, ideas for Pomegranate Kiss (Eros Tales #2) keep creeping into view. I’m hoping to finish both of those books this year. Since I still have half a year ahead of me, I’ve got high hopes.

What I’m editing/marketing:

Catch the fae trifecta I released over the past two weeks! Siren’s Call is out for free,  and Hypnotizing Beat is out, and if you need a light beach read, check out Color of a Soul. Soon enough, I’ll be diving into edits for A Thief’s Crusade, but in the interim, I decided to challenge myself with an intensive edit on Outlier Heir. I think it’s really changed how it reads, and I think the earlier issues are becoming that much clearer. And in July, we’ve got the relaunch of my Philadelphia Coven Chronicles with Hunting for Spring, and the brand new launch of the Eros Tales series, starting with Taking Root!

Teaser of the week:

“I needed a distraction. A drink, a good tumble, anything—even this sure-to-be- trouble punk show.”(1)

Line of the week:

“Ditch the cigarette,” Renn said, hooking his thumbs through the belt loops of his patched-up leather pants. His Doc Martens scuffed the asphalt as he closed the distance between them.

Kincaid’s lips pursed, amusement gleaming in those eyes. “Oh yeah? Any reason I’d give a damn about, or do you just feel like being bossy?” His deep bass rumbled through the air, and Renn sucked his lower lip through his teeth. He’d probably murder someone to hear that voice whisper dirty things in his ear.

Renn reached out and grabbed him by the lapels of his button-down. “Yeah, because I don’t want to fucking taste an ash tray when I make out with you.”

Forged Futures Release Day!

978-1-78686-478-9_ForgedFutures_1500X2400

Forged Futures, book four in the Tribal Spirits series, is OUT! These guys are one of my favorite couples in a long while!

Lana’s barely surviving the loss of her husband when Tribe member Lucas offers protection from the Landsliders, but in each other, they might uncover a chance to heal.

Joe Ganzorig, Mackey Kendricks’ right hand shaman, has appeared in Ricketts Glen again, and Lucas Diaz is on the job. Except this time, the Landsliders are targeting the recently widowed Lana Bennett. Turns out her husband’s murder hadn’t been accidental—he was involved in the Landsliders and stole an anti-shifter bomb from the big boss himself. The Landsliders want it back, and they won’t stop their attacks until their device is delivered.

Lucas volunteers to keep her safe while they search for the device, needing to protect this wry, stunning woman who’s still standing even after everything she’s weathered. Despite the distance they each try to keep, both Lucas and Lana can’t deny the scorching attraction between them. However, with the constant reminders of Lana’s husband and the Landsliders increasing their threats by the day, these newfound feelings could expire before they ignite. And if the Landsliders find the device before them, none of the shifters will stand a chance at survival.

What story I’m currently working on:

Post vacation some life things cropped up, making my normal writing schedule an impossibility, so I settled for at least getting some done yesterday. I managed to get to 48k in A Thief’s Crusade, and I’m still hoping I’ll be able to work my way back up into finishing this book before the end of the month. If not though, I’d be perfectly happy to finish it in June.

What I’m editing/marketing:

I’m pushing hard on Forged Redemption. Priority-wise, it’s feeling more important to get this turned in before the end of the month than getting the other book written, especially with Forged Futures coming out on May 21st. The edits are going pretty smoothly so far, and it’s been easy to integrate the necessary changes I needed to make. If you haven’t gotten to catch up on Tribal Spirits yet, don’t forget to nab Forged Contracts while it’s only 99 cents! Forged Futures is up for pre-order too, and I can’t wait to see what people think of that book. On May 17th, Tales from the Skies comes out, and Color of a Soul comes out June 3rd, while Hunting for Spring just went up for pre-order, which will be coming out July 17th!

“Bed. Now,” Grif commanded, grabbing Dan’s wrist and dragging him forward.

“Anyone ever tell you that you’re bossy?” Dan murmured, his eyes flashing with mischief. The wry grin on his lips was one that Grif wanted to capture with his mouth.

“I’ll spank your ass for that one,” Grif muttered, closing the distance to the balcony door in a couple quick strides.

“Promises, promises,” Dan responded. His tongue traced his lips in a slow, sensual way that made Grif want to just slam him against a wall and take him here.

What story I’m currently working on:

Well, before my week hiatus, I ended up getting to 47k in A Thief’s Crusade! This weekly update is coming late because I just got back in from Iceland, and the next update will probably be fairly low word count-wise, since I’ve got a lot going on, and I’ve got to get back into the groove of the book! I did do a lot of reading over my vacation, so here’s hoping that some of those beautiful words will rub off on the big final section of the book. I’m only really anticipating about 30k more in this novel!

What I’m editing/marketing:

Now that I’m back, it’ll be time to dive into Forged Redemption pretty hardcore! The goal is to get this book turned in before book 4 comes out. Let’s hope that pans out. There’s a killer sale for Forged Contracts right now, since the book just came out, yet it’s already on sale for 99 cents in preparation for Forged Futures which is up for pre-order and set to release May 21st! The pre-orders are non-freaking-stop too. In May and June respectively, Tales from the Skies and Color of a Soul come out, and Hunting for Spring just went up for pre-order, which will be coming out in July!

“He knew too well the sting of loneliness and how over time it stole you away, piece by piece, until a mere shell remained.”

Line of the week:

“That’s why you do this, isn’t it?” he continued. “Because Brennerman is just one of far too many who push people into corners, who threaten lives and families while they speed off in Porsches and go golfing on the weekends.”

Grif stepped closer until there was only an inch between them. Dan stared up in his eyes, unafraid at the massive man looming over him. One who had fought and bore the scars to prove it.

Grif reached out and traced his jaw with a featherlight touch that made him melt inside. “When my parents died, I was so alone. So fucking helpless. I never want anyone to feel that helpless again.” His breath caught in his throat, and his Adam’s apple bobbed as he glanced away, pulling his hand back to settle on the rail. “Look, I don’t talk about this stuff, not even with my Outlaws, though they’ve all pieced it together at this point. This thing between us—it was never about the job.”

Dan’s heart squeezed tight at the admission. The thought of that ferocious man ever being a scared kid had him swallowing hard. He reached forward to rest his palm over Grif’s. They both stared out at the city splayed before them, the winking and static lights all different shades of lavender and silver. In the distance, Lake Michigan stretched out, an inkspill on a canvas that he both loathed and loved.

What story I’m currently working on:

Well now, I made it to 41k in A Thief’s Crusade. This book is coming out faster than anticipated, and what’s crazy is I’m going to have to go on a week hiatus with it while I’m on my vacation. I’m at that point where it’s all either brilliant or rubbish, which is pretty common once you get past the big middle twist. One of the trickiest things right now is getting the timing right, because I’m not only working on a romance which requires tight pacing, but a heist which requires precise pacing.

What I’m editing/marketing:

Well now, I’m diving into the big edits for Forged Redemption! It’s crazy to think that I should be able to get this turned in to my editor in May. The Tribal Spirits series was a wild ride, and that book means a lot to me. If you haven’t checked out Forged Contracts yet, it’s currently on sale for 99 cents! And while you’re catching up on the Tribal Spirits series, nab Forged Futures which is up for pre-order!!! The pre-orders don’t stop there either…because in May and June respectively, Tales from the Skies and Color of a Soul come out!

“Because I can’t get you out of my goddamn head,” Grif growled, his voice echoing in the chilled air. His blue eyes flashed with a furious amount of emotion, more than he’d ever seen from the placid man. The kind he’d lose his mind trying to chase. “Because the mere thought of a moment with you has me breaking all my rules. Because you’ve got this softness the world hasn’t managed to beat out of you yet, and I’m going insane trying to get it out of my system.”

Grif’s shoulders heaved in exertion as he lapsed to silence. Dan sucked in a sharp breath. He couldn’t look away from him if he tried. Those lips so close to his was scrambling his mind, as was the temptation of crumbling against that firm chest.  Except that was the same way he’d gotten cornered by Brennerman in the first place. Grif goddamn Blackmore. For all his pretty words, he’d still come in like the thief he was, all lies and charm.

“Pretty sure the softness has been beaten out of me now,” he whispered, his voice cracking in the process. Fuck, he drowned in Grif’s intense presence and didn’t want to come up for breath.

Grif reached forward and skimmed his thumb along Dan’s chin, nudging it up until their eyes locked again.

“Bull shit,” he responded, that mesmerizing mouth an inch away. “I can still see it in your eyes.”
