What story I’m working on: Waking for Winter

What I’m editing/marketing: Winding to an end with the Rising for Autumn edits. I may actually be able to finish next week, which means I’ll be sending it on in to the editor.

Line of the week:

“I’ll survive, Cam. Bitty bullet like that won’t take me down,” he forced out between gritted teeth, even though his hand clamped to his side. The scent of blood was a vibrant tang in the air that she knew far too well, which worried her. Dante would deliver his ‘just a flesh wound’ bullshit even if he was rolling up to death’s door just to keep her from getting upset.

What story I’m working on: Waking for Winter! And what a story it shall be!

What I’m editing/marketing: Editing Rising for Autumn like crazy, and marketing An Airship Named Desire, because this week only it’s 99 cents!

Line of the week:

Ever since her time in the necromancer’s clutches, she was still recovering lost memories from the quicksand of her mind. They’d drop like nuclear bombs, freezing her up at the worst time as visuals which should’ve stayed forever buried bubbled to the surface.

What story I’m working on: Waking for Winter

What I’m editing/marketing: Finished editing Captivating Melody, and now I’m throwing my full attention on Rising for Autumn!

Line of the week:

God he wanted to kiss her. Years ago, he’d have just crossed the space between them and scooped her into his arms, claimed the sugar sweetness of her lips and dissolved into that comfort. Except now a cold distance like the streets out there in stark winter had settled between them. She wanted friendship, which he’d respect, but hell it burned him alive when she was so unwittingly sexy. When she was the only one who knew he was a secret neat freak. That he hated ketchup with a passion and snakes freaked him out.

Line of the week:

She paused, her lips pursed as she looked him up and down. “If you’re too tired and need to go nap though, I’ll happily handle this by myself.”

He shot her a glare. “Like hell. You’re not prancing into potential danger without me.”

She stuck out her tongue. “Boo, I was hoping to get you off my ass for a couple minutes.”

The girl didn’t think twice before she spoke, something he ruthlessly took advantage of. A wolfish grin spread across his face. “An ass that fine is tough to ignore, darling.”

What story I’m working on: Waking for Winter

What I’m editing/marketing: I’m finishing up edits on Captivating Melody, and beginning edits on Rising for Autumn!! WOOO!

Line of the week:

“Please tell me that’s not some random you scooped off the street,” she muttered, already straightening her back as she launched into business mode.

“Just some girl looking for a ride,” Dante drawled, earning him a disgusted look from Alanna and Cami shaking her head even though he caught the hint of a smile on those gorgeous lips.

Line of the week: (MYYYY HEEARRRRRT. This section slayed me.)

The purple sky spread out full of distant promise, the stars twinkling just out of reach. She memorized the proud arch of his nose, those full lips, and the somber eyes of a man who’d experienced enough grief to make anyone a monster. And yet, she’d never met a more caring individual in her life. A thousand words blossomed to her lips and died there, because no amount of speaking could communicate the depths of how he’d affected her. Of how he’d changed her.
