What story I’m currently working on: Lol, massive slowdown this week, but due to reasons. I hit 34k on Forged Decisions, which is all sorts of fuck yeah! The story is hitting some bigger scenes, which I’m looking forward to tackling, but I had some super important interruptions. I should be back on track by next week.

What I’m editing/marketing: Well, well, well. My editor and I just pulled out an insane three day editing binge–three weeks of work crammed into that span, but Forged Alliances is ramping up and looking better than ever. My Steampunk with a Twist story is floating along, and I’m down to the last couple passes on it. I decided to start sprucing up an old YA winter fairytale as well, which should be awesome. I also got my critiques back on the first three chapters of my Asgard Lounge story, plus have been tweaking the synopsis and blurb. I will have the proposal package ready to send by next week. On an exciting front, the Airship Named Desire audio book is now available here!! OMG guys, it’s so good.

Teaser of the week:

-As he settled into Park, he winked at her. “Maybe your wolf pups are scared to tangle with a strong woman, but darling, I_d devour you.”

Line of the week:

Finn had tried to gradually fall for Raven over years of affection, touch, and time, but he knew deep in his gut, he’d never brushed the surface of what he should be feeling. However, with Navi, it was no quiet stream or gentle footsteps. He fell for her like the sudden drop of a cliff face, with the fury of the rapids, and with the bone deep awareness that this woman would be branded on his bones for the rest of his life.

What story I’m currently working on: I was truckin, truckin, truckin the weeks before, but this week was a bit of a slowdown! Well. -ish. I hit 29k with Forged Alliances, though I’m hoping to reach 40k by the end of next week if the story keeps ramping up like it seems to be doing. And a lot of my effort this past week was for the Asgard Lounge sample that I started–I got my first three chapters done at 9k, and now I’m working on an outline/synopsis sort of dealie. Storytime!!

What I’m editing/marketing: I’ve been floating along with edits on the Steampunk with a Twist story–I’ll definitely have that ready by next week. And once I’m done that, I’m going to dive back into my YA winter fairytale from two years ago and re-edit that before trying to submit again! On the audio book front, An Airship Named Desire has been approved and is heading to retailers! I’ll update here first when it comes out!

Teaser of the week:

Dax_s grin widened, revealing teeth as he leaned against the bar. “Darling, if you wanted me somewhere private, all you had to do was ask,” he drawled. The languid way he carried h

Line of the week:

Navi lifted her bottle. “Well then, it sounds like we’re both fucked.”

His mouth quirked at that, and he clinked his beer to hers. “If that’s what you want, darling, I’ve been waiting to peel that dress off you from the moment I pulled into this lot.” The heat in his voice burned hotter than the August sun, and Navi’s core clenched tight at his words.  He scanned her with a predator’s intensity, and she could see his wolf clear in his eyes.

What story I’m currently working on: Well, in the interim, I finished the Steampunk with a Twist story (tentatively titled Of Tinkers and Technomancers) at 33k. Which happened to be perfect timing, because the first book of my Tribal Spirits series, Forged Alliances, got picked up!!! So I got a zephyr of renewed motivation for book two in the series, Forged Decisions, making it all the way to 20k this week! I even got another thousand words into the Musketeer Pirate story, beginning another chapter at 6k–this story might be a slow burn WIP, but damn, it’s gonna be good.

What I’m editing/marketing: Currently, my Steampunk with a Twist story is with my lovely beta readers, and then I shall begin MASS EDITINGS. Also, I pressed the button–An Airship Named Desire audio book should be available in the next couple days. OH MY GOD GUYS. IT’S GOOD. All of the excite.

Line of the week:

“You didn’t have to do that,” Navi said, her voice quieting. Their eyes met for a moment, charged understanding a current between them.

“And you didn’t have to help back there,” he murmured, his voice growing hoarse with seriousness. Navi’s lips pressed together and she tucked several strands of hair behind her ear, breaking her gaze.

What story I’m full *steam* ahead on this steampunk story! And by that, I mean by the next update it’s going to be finished. I’m at 28k and I’m only projecting about 30ish for this novella! Which means what project comes next will be a roulette, lol. Who knows!I even did a bit more of the Musketeer Pirate story, closing out another chapter at 5k. Slowly, this world is starting to unfold, and it’s been a joy to write behind the scenes. Every ounce of it is pure inspiration.

What I’m editing/marketing: NONE OF THE THINGS! Well, mostly because I’m writing like a beast. Captivating Melody is still in edits, but it’s just paused while I push through on this steampunk story…which I can soon edit! Although, on a super cool note, I’m currently doing edits on the audio files for the Airship Named Desire audio book. I’m not going to lie, this narrator is so talented she’ll give you goosebumps. I haven’t fallen in love with a voice like this since FemShep.

Line of the week:

“Because it took a stubborn technomancer willing to risk everything for those she cared about to remind me that I was capable of a little daring too.” He offered her a half-smile, trying to ignore the way his pulse quickened, at how his heart twisted with the intensity of the admiration he felt for her. He’d offered many, many lies in his day, but this was the solemn truth, and by the blazes, it felt glorious to let it free.

What story I’m working on: Umm, I might be biting off more than I can chew, ha! So, with my secret Musketeers Pirate project, I hit 3k, Forged Decisions I slowed down to 15k, and I began my Steampunk with a Twist story, making it to 1500 words. I don’t normally balance three, but the Musketeers Pirate one is purely for fun, I’m a bit stalled on Forged Decisions until I find out the fate of the beginning of the series, and the Steampunk for a Twist one has a definite deadline, making it the easiest and clearest one to plunge into.

What I’m editing/marketing: Since Captivating Melody went through the rejection wringer, in the interim I re-read it and critiqued, so now I’m going through the edits and trying to prettify this old manuscript and inject some new life into it. I think there’s a lot of good I can do with it. Also, WAKING FOR WINTER is out!

Teaser of the week:

_Liv applied her cherry red lipstick in her rearview mirror with the precision of experience, her brand of war paint to give her confidence today._

Line of the week:

Droplets of salt water hit Fiona’s face as she propped herself up on the prow of the ship to catch the first glimpse of the land up ahead. Nine years had passed since she last set foot on this land—nine years since she’d been sold away and banished from this place. However, this time, she wasn’t a kid anymore. She’d trained, fought, and killed out on the seas, and this time, the entire country of Caer Donis better shake in their boots, because Fiona Blackwater had returned.
