What story I’m currently working on:

Well, this was one of the best damn writing weeks I’ve probably had all year. That’s a superhuman word count, possible only because I REALLY wanted to write the sexy bits. Because of that, I fucking FINISHED the first book in my Dungeons and Dating series at 70k. Holy jeez, what a roller coaster. That book was such a fun one to write and made me really miss San Francisco. I loved that city a lot when we visited in 2013.

What I’m editing/marketing:

Apart from reviewing the audio files for Color of a Soul, I did little else in terms of editing my own junk, mostly because I was rocking through Dungeons and Dating. However, Color of a Soul IS heading to retail, so I’ll be announcing that any day now. Also, Scrying for Summer is up for pre-order! The other book on pre-order that’s coming out a day earlier is Captured Memories. If somehow you missed out on my bold and beautiful Tribal Spirits series, check out Forged Alliances, the first book in the series, for only 99 cents! (and the rest of the series on Kindle Unlimited for a LIMITED time only!)

“You say that now,” Mel teased. “But what happens when I accidentally track mud through the house because I’m a mess? Or worse, order pizza with mushrooms?”

Roxie levelled a look at her. “I’ll pick the mushrooms off, dumbass. And I’m perfectly capable of pointing out your mud prints—though realistically, you’ll never be as much of a mess as Bel.”

“Dumbass?” Mel said, clutching her chest even as her eyes crinkled with how hard she grinned. “Look at these beautiful names my girlfriend calls me.”

What story I’m currently working on:

I’m midway through Forged Futures and ramping up to the big twist in the middle. I was rolling really fast on this book, but the last couple of chapters I feel like I’ve been sputtering a bit, so I’m about to get back on track. I’m currently at 30k, so I’ve put a significant dent into this book. To be quite frank, I’ll probably be done it by the end of the month, if not the end of the year, which is hella cool.

What I’m editing/marketing:

I started sending out more submissions for The Lies We Weave, though I’m debating on doing one more editing run through. But most of my focus this week was on Forged Alliances’ release day, which was Tuesday! A little over a year since it was last out, it’s now back with a LOT of fuel behind it. After all, I’ve got the next two already stacked to go, and I’m working on the fourth in the series. I will absolutely be finished the Tribal Spirits series by next year, and that’s pretty awesome. If you haven’t grabbed Bustles and Bells yet, I’d recommend it! An Airship Carol is a super fun caper. Next on the agenda is the pre-order for Forged Decisions on November 20th, which I’m super excited for.

For this single moment, she could exist here with him. For this single moment, she wasn’t a widow, she wasn’t the wife of Greg Bennett. For this single moment, he wasn’t one of the Tribe. For this single moment, he could stay.

Her gaze landed on his lips, but Lucas pulled away first, shattering that fragile, quavering ray they’d clung to. Lana stepped back to grab her coffee, as if the heat from the mug could dispel the way her fingers tingled from mere touch.

“So, taking down Ganzorig?” Lana said before taking a quick sip. Not like she could evade the heat in Lucas’s eyes, or the way her body flushed.

He nodded. “Yeah, we’re taking down the Landsliders.”

Even as their mouths formed different words, Lana recognized them for what they were.

Goodbye. Goodbye. Goodbye.

What story I’m currently working on:

I swear, I’m going to finish Hypnotizing Beat by the end of the year. I keep telling myself that, because this book has been impossible to write. Which is a shame, because it’s got great banter, the characters are lively, and they go on amazing escapades. I SHOULD be loving the book, but I had too much plotting and planning I needed to do/revise to really sink myself into the feelings of it. Anyway, I hit 55k, so I’m pushing forward. And of course, I got some wordage down on Forged Futures so I’m up to 8k!

What I’m editing/marketing:

Well, I thought I’d be taking awhile on the final edit of The Lies We Weave, but I ended up speeding to the end of it. Which is good, because it leaves me wide open for when I’m finally done with Hypnotizing Beat. And I’ve got extra space to focus on Bustles and Bells coming out on October 29th and Forged Alliances set to release November 13th. If you didn’t get a chance to pick up A Reflection of Ice the first time around, now’s the best time! And on other news, Forged Decisions got a bump up for release date! It’s going up for pre-order November 20th, and will release January 1st!

The moment they stepped onto into the blazing Vegas sun, Kieran sagged against the wall. “I wanted to punch that fucker from the moment I met him.”

“I just wanted to fuck him,” Ren shrugged, his dark eyes dancing with mirth.

“We know,” Jett muttered. “I was ready to place a bucket beneath you to collect the drool.”

What story I’m currently working on:

I lived up to my promise! Not in Hypnotizing Beat which is still at 12k, but with Forged Contracts….well, I happened to go from 3k to 12k….I guess it’s vibing with me just a smidge. And holy hell. While the banter in the first two books was top notch and this will be muted a bit, the emotional richness of this book is just unreal. Raven and Jer are two damaged, broken characters falling apart at the seams all while they’re desperate for the love they both deserve. Plus, the plot of the Tribal Spirits series is so compelling and interesting.

What I’m editing/marketing:

So, I just spent all that time editing and need a wee bit of a break. Though I’ll still be working on Musketeer Pirates in the interim, I’m going to put my full focus on the next book in my serieses. Speaking of serieses, fingers crossed on the full four books of the Philly Coven Chronicles finding their home! Once August hits, I’ll have a full series available on Amazon, although this time it’ll be my Take to the Skies series that I love and adore so much. Bea and the crew will always have a place in my heart. Speaking of that universe, if you dig steampunk romance, catch Stolen Petals free right now!

Teaser of the week:

“Mordecai snorted. “Surely, I thought you_d invite the chaos on board and offer it tea.”

Line of the week:

“Poor thing indeed,” Raven muttered, scratching the side of her neck. “No one warned her the big bad wolf was showing up on her doorstep.”

“Big Bad Wolf? I like the sound of that. Want to call me that while I drive deep inside you?” he teased, the normal flirtation not nearly as dangerous as one ounce of vulnerability from that man.

“You’re incorrigible,” she shot back, grabbing bowls and forks from her pantry before popping open the takeout containers and shoveling the glorious contents inside.

“Busting out the fancy words now?” Jer continued, an amused grin on his lips. “Don’t tease. You know how a big vocabulary turns me on.”

What story I’m currently working on:

June just keeps speeding along! I was down for the count from Friday to about yesterday with a nasty head cold, but I’m getting back in the game. I’m moving at a turtle’s pace on Hypnotizing beat, but I just hit 10k, so that’s a thing.  And I plotted out the entirety of An Airship Carol, not like it’s long, but I’m hurtling ahead at 5k. I’m hoping to be finished it next week, which will take something off my way too overloaded plate. Also, I want to start working on the third Tribal Spirits book, but I have to finish Airship first.

What I’m editing/marketing:

Well now, the news is: Forged Alliances found a home! It got picked up with Totally Bound Publishing, which means the Tribal Spirits series is back on track, with the second book already submitted! I’m so excited to restart that series! On top of that, edits for Captivating Melody came and went, so it sounds like my release date is June 25th! SO SOON. Because I’m apparently insane, on the editing front I’m tackling Musketeer Pirates in a slow and steady fashion, as well as Taking Root!! I swear to god, my plate is so overloaded it doesn’t even know which direction to tip in. If you’re waiting for Colors of a Soul, my Little Mermaid retelling, pre-order Legends of the Veil!

Teaser of the week:

“Hope you enjoy the show then, darling.” Heat flickered in his amber eyes, and his lowered voice made the implication quite clear.

Line of the week:

I took another sip of ale, savoring the sweetness as it coated my tongue. A smile spread to my face. “Isabella dear, I do believe we have a plan of action.”

She followed my gaze, arching a brow once she caught sight of the guy. “Better drink up fast,” Isabella murmured to Jack and Abby. “Your Captain’s about to ruin yet another bar.”

“Ruin’s a harsh word,” I responded, unable to help the sunbeams in my smile. “I prefer ‘inject with liveliness.’”

What story I’m currently working on:

So, I had something kind of funny happen this week. I was stepping into working on the fae manuscript and MY GOD was I hitting a wall. Nothing was clicking for me, not even the beginning of this story. I just couldn’t find the pulse. So I decided instead of trying to do an urban fantasy, I’d write a paranormal romance–I like that territory. Obviously, the strategy worked, because I’m 3,500 words in on the new story, where I’d only reached 1,500 in total on the other one, after a week or two of trying to work at it. This is the fae story for the Legends of the Veil anthology that is coming out in August!

What I’m editing/marketing: It’s now March, and I already knocked out the line edits for A Reflection of Ice on Tuesday evening. Woot, woot! There should be a pre-order going up soon for this book, since it releases on March 27th! I’ve been working pretty hardcore on the Airship edits, so I’m down to the final two: vibrancy edits and grammatical/read aloud edits. I’m getting closer and closer, so I can guarantee this will be done by the end of March. Gaslights and Graves is available for pre-order! Nab a copy now before the May release!

What story I’m currently working on:

Boo, the Wanderers is over, and I miss it so much! However, that also means I have 3 manuscripts in the editing backlog, so I switched gears completely over to editing Airship. I’m making really solid progress, and I’m about halfway through. I started writing the fae story for the Legends of the Veil anthology that is coming out in August! It’s got a leprechaun lead!

What I’m editing/marketing: It’s now March, and I’m anticipating some line edits…which will bring A Reflection of Ice and Of Tinkers and Technomancers that much closer to release! The Take to the Skies short, One Shot For the Sky is submitted to the anthology coordinator, so you can enjoy that in May in the anthology Corsets and Cogs! Given a straight week of working on Airship, I’m actually about halfway through the edits, both content and line. I’ll definitely have this book ready for an editor by the end of the month! Also, Gaslights and Graves is now available for pre-order! Nab a copy now!

Teaser of the week:

Candace brandished a pint glass at the ready. Ale could soothe most of these ruffians, and she_d become adept at taming tempers.

Line of the week:

My entire life, I’ve been told I was lucky.

Around me, folks find a crisp hundred dollar bill on the ground, get a run in blackjack, or end up comped their meal due to a chef’s error. So, I’ve never had a shortage of people who wanted to keep me around, even though I wouldn’t necessarily call them friends. And for all the luck I exuded, none of it circled back on around to me.

In fact, my life had been a series of bad events that spiraled out of control a year ago.
